How do you change 60hz to 165? or even 144?
I have just bought this and I tried every setting but nothing is changing it from 60hz, I tried putting the refresh rate to advanced, and ultra-fast and it has not changed anything, also the buttons are very annoying to navigate through, which isn't much of a problem, but the refresh rate not changing really is, will most likely return if I can not find a solution for this.
Screen blacks out suddenly
Screen turns off unpredictably very few minutes. Malfunction with the screen.

Je n'ai rien à dire de négatif, à 219$ je ne pense pas que j'aurais pu trouver une meilleur qualité, peut-être quelque chose de similaire mais pas mieux. 2 ports HDMI et un display port. Vous devez faire vos ajustements vous même, les ''preset'' ne sont pas extraordinaire et la luminosité n'est pas extraordinaire donc si vous utiliser cette écran dans une pièce ensoleillé vous aurez besoin de fermer les rideaux. Les bordures sont très fine, il y a une sensation de bonne qualité lorsqu'on sort le produit de ça boite. Vient avec un cable display port et l'alimention. Peut être installer sur un support. La qualité audio est excellente pour le prix, je n'écouterais pas un film avec ce son mais une ou deux vidéo youtube ça passe très bien. Supporte HDR mais en hdmi je ne le conseille pas. Je ne regrette pas mon achat.

Great picture, great price
I replaced my previous monitor that started to develop dead spots. I went with this ViewSonic monitor, billed a gaming monitor. I don't have the bleeding edge games, just Ghost Recon, Supreme Commander, and Magic: The Gathering, and some VASL games. My PC had a decent video card for 6-7 years ago. The monitor is bright, with a really nice picture. Text is sharp. There may be monitors that are better out there, but this one is plenty good for my needs.
27" 1080p 165hz, and HDR??
I bought this mainly for the size and the 165hz refresh rate, also I read that VA monitors have a deeper black than IPS without the constant backglow, I can confirm this seems to be the case with this VA monitor, as my previous monitor was an IPS. As an added bonus and something that isn't listed in the specs in the OSD there is an HDR option that you can enable, Windows also allows you to toggle the HDR option within the OS when this is enabled, this sets the screen to a very bright setting with no option to change the brightness but in my personal opinion it is much nicer than not enabling HDR and manually configuring it, this was based on general usage and watching HDR videos on YouTube with and without the HDR setting enabled. It's likely only HDR 400 or close to, though I thought it was a nice surprise addition nonetheless. There does appear to be some slight ghosting? As noted by other reviews, and setting the response time to standard seems to be the go to recommendation, though I would advise you try all of the OSD options and configure your graphics card drivers to get the best possible visual settings that work for you. Aside from the above it seems a perfectly good monitor for the price,the stand is fine though nothing to write home about, the OSD is easy to navigate,it has speakers which most won't use though are fine for basic use, office, maybe the odd YouTube video though I wouldn't recommend for gaming or music. All in all for the £145 I paid for the 27" 165hz version, it's well worth it. 4.5 stars
