Great all-in-one joystick for gaming
It's a better stick than the online discussions would have you believe. The joystick is a very high quality material It feels nice in the hands. This stick was perfect for me because I didn't want a full SIM setup I just wanted a joystick that had throttle levers on it that way I didn't have to buy an external throttle or pedals or anything like that and this does that perfectly. The worst part was downloading the software because Turtle Beach has like seven apps on the computer and you would think that it's in the Hangar app or the Turtle Beach Control Center but it's not in any of those. It's not even in the Turtle Beach Velocity One application that's for the first stick only. The only way I was able to find what application worked was to go to the website and specifically go to downloads under this stick and I found the Turtle Beach Velocity 1 Hangar app. For me at least this stick was perfect because it's literally just plug and play like I plugged it into my computer, It took me a while to find what app works, I updated the firmware and then I went into games and started playing. I saw people complaining about it not having preset bindings for each game but that just seems ridiculous and it only takes 5 minutes to set up key bindings. I think Turtle Beach gets a bad reputation for a lot of their products but this actually feels pretty high quality and I think is perfect for someone who doesn't want to buy multiple parts to enjoy flying games

Misleading, doesn’t deliver
Ok so here goes a few things, it feels nice and I guess it’s an improvement from v1. The new app is not on Xbox store and on Microsoft store on my computer it keeps crashing. I have contacted tech support and the email response is terrible as apparently they outsourced it and only reply from 2am to 5 am. They stated that they are trying to get integration in msfs marketplace soon,so it just reads unrecognized device and will have to map every button individually. The “38” buttons are not recognized only about 20 maybe. The throttle have 4 idents that are unusable out of the box and without the app working I don’t think they will. The axis on the left of the hat switch doesn’t work and its hair sensitive so you can’t assign it on msfs. IMHO I wouldn’t buy this if you’re reading this and probably find an alternative but as of today this product is not usable to its full capacity and is not fully supported yet. Hey turtle beach if you see this answer my last reply email “tainy ” on tech support ticket. My review is an experience in both pc and Xbox. The app crashes on pc and no app on Xbox (the ones on Xbox are not the ones compatible with gen 2)

Some issues but overall good!
The Hall Effect sensors give the stick a smooth, drift-free center response that makes precision micro-adjustments in games like Flight Simulator or Star Citizen feel crisp. Having the OLED display integrated directly on top is actually genuinely useful for tweaking deadzones and swapping profiles without having to Alt-Tab into software mid-flight. Where it falls short in actual dogfights is the physical ergonomics and base weight. The thumb cluster is way too cramped, making it easy to hit the wrong button when you're scrambling to cycle weapons or shields. Plus, because the base itself is pretty lightweight, pulling hard G-forces or executing quick vector changes lifts the whole stick right off your desk unless you physically clamp it down. At a hundred and fifty dollars, it sits in a competitive spot between entry-level budget sticks and full-blown, multi-piece HOTAS setups. Getting eight axes, Hall Effect gimbals, and integrated dual throttle levers in a single footprint gives you a ton of control options without completely devouring your desk space or requiring separate throttle hardware. The cross-platform Xbox and PC compatibility is also a huge selling point if you play across both systems. It might not replace a dedicated high-end flight rig for purists who want heavy, weighted gear, but as an all-in-one stick for space combat and casual flight simming, the feature set fully justifies the price tag.
