Solid macro pad for the price great switches and knobs, and acrylic built
I've used a handful of macro keypads over the years, so I had a reasonable benchmark going into this one. I picked it up primarily for productivity shortcuts, creative software like Photoshop, and media control and for those use cases, it holds up well. The blue switches have a satisfying tactile click to them, and the three knobs feel smooth and well-weighted with no wobble or looseness. For volume control and scrubbing through a timeline in video editing, the knobs in particular are a genuine pleasure to use. The 16 keys give you enough real estate to map out a useful set of shortcuts without the pad taking over your desk. The hot-swap feature is a nice touch being able to swap switches without soldering is something I appreciate, even if I haven't needed to use it yet. The detachable USB cable is also a practical inclusion. One thing to be aware of: the acrylic body had protective peeling on the underside that wasn't fully removed from the factory. It's a minor thing and easy enough to peel off yourself, but it's a small quality control miss for an otherwise well-built unit. The acrylic construction itself feels sturdy and looks clean once sorted.
