Feels like a much more expensive product - budget KING

I did a ton of research on what I should buy for my PC, I have an xbox series s/x controller and ps4 one, I really wanted the same ergos as the Xbox and the flydigis are 1 for 1 same ergos. Other great controllers like the Leadjoy peaked my interest but reviews said those are very small. Gamesir was also on my mind but didn't have adjustable sticks. For $40 this undercuts almost everything out and I really didn't see any reason why you would want to jump up to the vader 5 for $80 when this delivers the same stuff. Every interface on the direwolf 4 feels way higher quality than my Xbox controller. I love that the abxy buttons are a super nice version of a membrane button so they're not a loud clicky response like I saw with other pro controllers but also not squishy bad O.E.M. controller response. All the other controls are a good mechanical tactile and quick response (clicky but not loud). The sticks are the highlight of the controller, having the adjustability of tension is huge and also they feel smoother and more accurate than my standard Xbox. I'm sure the hall effect will translate to much greater lifespan too. I've only used it for 4 hours but I'm already kind of blown away. I don't feel like I would gain anything spending double the money for a Vader 5, a G7 pro, gulikit tt max/pro, etc.

Best Performance per Dollar Controller on the Market

What drew me to this controller was the performance specs, button layout, and shape. I was predominately an Xbox Series controller guy. I wanted something similar but with a higher polling rate and no drift sticks. At first feel I can say that it felt comfortable in the hands. However, I was a bit hesitant to like the feel of the buttons, triggers, and sticks at first. It also felt light, which to me translated into being/feeling cheap at the time. I think I’ve seen a few reviews here saying something similar about its quality (feeling or sounding cheap). Could this be a result of using cheaper plastics? I don’t know. More on that later… What made me rethink the aforementioned was actually playing my favorite titles with it. The best way to describe it is that it’s fast/responsive and comfortable. The way it’s designed (shape and button placement along foremost) is, what I think, gives it that quick feel. Face buttons are slightly more raised than Xbox series with just the right amount of resistance. Easy to navigate through with your thumb. Best buttons that I have used for 2 button actions. Very satisfying. Less resistance on the triggers vs Xbox series. Didn’t like that at first, but when I saw how the fast trigger pulls were also showing up on the screen (no noticeable delay), I was sold. Now, I have owned Hall effect sticked controllers in the past. Never liked them because of the feel (over tensioned). However, these sticks feel great. Because of the tension adjustment, and how great they feel and perform after dialing them in, I will never go back to anything else. Rumble is not my favorite compared to some that I have felt, but it’s good. No problem with it. This has more to do with subjectivity than good/bad. As of today, this is the best overall controller I have ever owned. I have owned more expensive/better spec’d controllers, but none that strike the balance of this controller. One of the best controllers I’ve used AND it’s cheap!!!

Tried this and the Mobapad Chitu Silent Edition which is another really great controller. Of the two I prefer the ergonomics of this one. The sticks are really good and deserve praise, they’re super accurate from the few rounds I did of Resident Evil 4 Remakes mercenaries mode which is my barometer for performance. Was arguably the easiest time I’ve ever had lining up headshots on any controller I’ve used and I didn’t expect to like the option for the tension rings as much as I did and I’m going to attribute the fine tuning of them that made it easier. Buttons feel nice on the hands, decent amount of throw to them but not intrusive. Dpad felt solid, I had one instance of perceived SnapBack on it for menuing which I’m not sure if it was cause of the dpad or me (I don’t think it has a central pivot) but figured I’d put it here since I’ve never used a clicky version of a circle pad. I still prefer the gulikit elves 2 dpad over this if I could only pick one dpad but for stick based games the direwolf might be my new favorite. I’ve previously used the Switch pro controller as my main one and am likely going to pivot to this instead. I will say the lack of texturized grip makes this thing slippery which is my biggest concern but the sheer ease of aiming feels fantastic. Might recommend some form of grip tape for it if possible since that’s really the only area lacking but even then I probably will stick to stock. Compared to the chitu 2 silent: shape is the biggest differentiator. I thought I’d like the shape more since it feels a little larger than the switch and realistically I could have given it more time but I felt a bit of irritation of my left hand using it which made me return it. The bumpers and triggers felt harder to hit on the mobapad comparatively since the triggers don’t slope outwards like the switch pro controller. Premium feeling controller with great features

Looks good, feels premium, and a great price. This controller manages to feel soo lightweight and premium at the same time. I love the sound and smoothness of the joysticks, and the toggleable triggers are a nice to have as well. The D-Pad is a little different than I am used to and does feel a little more fragile than the rest of the controller - but I can't see it breaking without misuse or it dropped directly on the D-Pad somehow. I am starting to be a fan of the D-Pad though, with its raised control surface and clicky switches. I am a huge fan of the Xbox controller layout, so this controller is very comfortable in the hands as well. I do wish that the joysticks were able to be adjusted a little more on the stiff side, but they do get a bit stiffer than a normal Xbox controller, which is nice for racing games, and they can get significantly looser for fast paced games. I will say though, the gyroscope feature can cause some confusion at first if you activate it without realizing. Once I realized it was on, I was able to disable it as it wasn't needed for the games I use it for.
