Looks Promising
This is not a plug and play replacement GameCube controller motherboard. This is an aftermarket motherboard that sets to improve the performance and functionality of the GameCube controller while still retaining the original design and feel. To complete this upgrade, you will need to source other parts and assemble this together (see: PhobGCC website for more information on the complete steps needed to assemble this). First impressions of the board is that is seems professionally designed and assembled. Will update this review once I assemble mine.

Motherboard
This motherboard is as expected. It showed in in pristine condition. Now I just need to get all of the parts to solder on. I would not recommend this for a beginner.

Definitely for hobbyists in the know - PHOB GCC
Taking an initial star off due to the packaging, or lack thereof. This circuit board should really come inside a box to help keep it protected during shipping. It just comes in a padded envelope inside an ESD bag. Otherwise, this is definitely a product for hobbyists in the know. This is a serious upgrade to an existing GCC that isn't needed for casual play. This is just the motherboard for the GCC, so a lot of additional parts are needed to build a fully functional PHOB GCC. I can see why build instructions aren't included, because you can literally build this however you need it to be built. There are tons of forums and part lists to be browsed with different types of switches, magnets, triggers, etc. and it wouldn't be right to include build instructions because there are too many different configurations to account for. If you buy this circuit board, you know where you're going to go next to figure out how you're building your custom-fit GCC. I have this board in another custom GCC and I absolutely love the feel and customizability. I personally love the snapback filtering to avoid accidental b-reversals in Smash Ultimate. The difference is night and day going back to an OEM GCC. Everything about the controls on the PHOB GCC feels more deliberate than an OEM one, and it can be further tuned for your playstyle, whereas the OEM is the same for everyone. If you're looking to build a PHOB GCC, this board is a good one to start with. Go browse those forums and get your parts to build your custom-fit GCC.

Unclear what you need. No instructions included
Elecrow makes a V1 of this motherboard as well. I haven't used that one. This motherboard seems good, but man, it's super unclear how to actually install it. I managed to find a youtube video, but it really should be clearly stated here what you'll need and what's actually included. The description says built in Hall Effect Joystick, but (as another user stated), they're not actually included. The first image is what you get. This is definitely geared toward serious hobbyists. Not quite plug and play like the Guilikit. Unless you're a serious player that HAS to have no input lag, my recommendation would be to go with the 8bit do kit. It's the same price and much much easier to install. Makes any controller into a bluetooth one.
