So sick, very fast and light. I use it for counterstrike and everything else and it performs flawlessly
Interesting mouse
My overall impression of this mouse is that the positives outweigh the negatives. It isn't perfect, but it's a great mouse and has a very unique coating (etched design). The etched design adds extra grip without needing to use the included grip tape. The installed skates are black PTFE skates which aren't the best. The mouse does come with some nicer white PTFE skates in the box, though. Why they weren't pre-installed is beyond me. The USB dongle is comically large. The included charging cable is very stiff -- so I'd only recommend using it for charging. Also, the LED functionality seems broken at this time. I have it set to light up based on the charge status, but it isn't lighting up. It does light up orange when I move the mouse, but the mouse is fully charged and it should be green. After you stop moving the mouse, the light goes off after a few seconds. I am unsure what main clicks the mouse uses. The listing just states "70 Million" but they feel a lot like Omron opticals. The listing also states this mouse uses carbon fiber technology, but I cannot tell for sure if it's actual carbon fiber. I suspect it's just etched plastic as real carbon fiber would probably be a lot more expensive, like found on the ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme mouse. I will say: it does look very cool and has a unique feel. The scroll wheel is the main letdown for me... like most Attack Shark mice I've tried, the encoder is a miss. This one is better than the stock one on my X1, but it still suffers from limbo jumping, where the encoder gets stuck between steps and suddenly bounces to the next, causing it to scroll unintentionally while gaming. The shape of the mouse is great. It fits well in my hand, and is a little wider and more flat than the X1 that I currently use. It feels larger in the hand, even though they look similar in size in person. In short, I can recommend this mouse. It is fantastic, I just wish it had a better scroll wheel and the better skates pre-installed.
Great Mouse, Questionable Design Choices — Software Kills the Experience
The R11 Ultra mouse itself is great. I already own a couple of Attack Shark mice and generally love them. The shape is familiar and comfortable — nothing over-the-top, just a solid, gamer-friendly design. Button layout is standard and intuitive, and I really like the carbon fiber texture on the version I picked up. It's light, smooth, and the glides are excellent — the mouse moves effortlessly across my pad. That said, I don’t understand the departure from a typical wireless dongle. This model requires a USB-C module that sits on your desk like a separate device. I suspect this is for lower latency, but even my older Attack Shark with a standard dongle has no perceivable latency. This feels like reinventing the wheel, and not in a good way. It’s not intrusive, but it’s an unnecessary complication without noticeable benefit — unless you're chasing raw latency numbers. Then there’s the software, which is where things really fall apart. It’s clunky, underdeveloped, and for some reason, it’s mouse-specific. My older X11 software is way more refined and performs exactly as expected — yet it’s not compatible with the R11. Why not unify your software across the lineup? Worse, the macros don’t play properly. I was gaming with the R11 and trying to use a simple left-click macro. It stutters and fails to register correctly. Swap back to the X11? Like Butter. Swap back to the R11? Pain. It’s a massive letdown that a mouse marketed for gaming can't handle a basic macro due to bad software. So while the hardware is attractive, responsive, and well-built, the software completely undermines the value. At this price, I expect something usable out of the box. Without better firmware and driver support, I can’t recommend this mouse — not even at half the price. TL;DR: Great-feeling mouse with smooth glides and a solid shape, but hamstrung by clunky software and a baffling new wireless system. Macros don’t work right, and the software isn’t compatible with their own previous models. N
An excellent, sensitive, lightweight gaming mouse
The ATTACK SHARK R11 is a fantastic option in the high-end lightweight gaming mouse territory. Featuring several attractive designs, this mouse is a great general purpose and gaming device. It has the high powered PAW3950 MAX sensor, a lightweight build, and usable software to configure it to your liking. Setup for this mouse is a breeze - simply plug and play with the included sensor or tune it to Bluetooth mode. Higher polling rates do require the mouse be wired, but the inclusion of the USB-C PAW sensor make it easy to use as a wireless mouse up to 1000 Hz. The ATTACK SHARK MOUSE HUB software recognized this mouse immediately which allowed me to configure the DPI, which is toggleable with the button on the bottom, to my liking. This mouse features a great, light build quality, which is very easy to use in games. The clicks are satisfying and the scroll wheel feels premium. Side buttons work great for forward and back in browsing and also serve as handy mappable keys in-game. This mouse includes a bevy of accessories including different plastic for the bottom so it can slide smoother across the desk at a slightly increased height, which is also adjustable in the software. Grip tape was also included, but I opted not to use it as I found the stock carbon fiber finish to be plenty grippy for my needs. A pack of ATTACK SHARK stickers was included as well. All-in-all, this is the definitive lightweight gaming mouse. It is a bit pricey but considering other options in this range from various manufacturers are "entry level" this mouse certainly punches above its weight in that regard. Definitely consider ordering this one; you won't regret it!
