So-So Inexpensive System With One Huge Plus
As-shipped, I'd give this portable game system 3-stars. It's obviously very inexpensive, but they achieve that by cutting a lot of corners. First, it is really tiny. That means a tiny screen (smaller than my iphone), tiny controller, and tiny speakers. Secondly, it's made really cheaply. Very cheap thin, flimsy plastic. And lastly the game selection is somewhat lackluster. In my eyes there are maybe 10 or so, legit, compelling games. They bloat the thing with tons of crappy games, many of which aren't even Genesis games. Ok, now the thing that makes this easily 5-stars: the fact that you can go buy a $10 sd card, and then go download (for free) all your old genesis games, about 75% of which play perfectly on this machine. That's huge!! Having a portable genesis with that sort of quality game library. Wow. Unthinkable really. People complain about the sound. Eh, I mean like everything else about this machine, it has very cheap speakers. But then again it's not like they are trying to play really high quality audio either. Compared to today's systems, the Genesis had pretty horrific sound, so the sound fidelity of this portable doesn't really bother me (much). I do wish I could buy a better quality version of this thing thouigh. I'd gladly pay more for a larger screen, better speakers, and a more rugged case.

Good console for its price
Received it 5 days ago. In general, quality is good enough, I'm satisfied. The weight of the console is lighter than I expected, so I don't feel it in my hands sometimes. I also could upload games to SD card, however be careful if console can't read games from some cards: in my case, 2Gb card wasn't recognized by the console but 4Gb was. Maybe it depends on the file system type that is selected for card formatting. Just try several cards, if you face problems.

Ben fatta.
