Good product and simple to assemble

Bought this chair back in April of 2020 - I am leaving this review as of July 2026. Just a few months ago the first crack in the leather has appeared, but I’ve used this chair nearly every day for both gaming and work since I’ve bought it. Extremely durable and easy to move around. Matches my setup nicely and I added a cushion to protect the seat from friction/sweat. My back feels supported as well with an added pillow. Would recommend
The best office chair.... at any price
This is my second Furmax gaming chair. The first one served me faithfully for 10 years of almost daily use. I frankly don't know how they can sell a quality padded leather chair for this price. And.... the price is the same as it was 10 years ago! Incredible. I noticed that they have made some changes in bolt alignment, the install was definitely harder than last time, but for this quality at this price?? Buy it
Good for the money
If you're looking for an entry-level chair, this is fine. I bought it in 2020 when I was unemployed and just sitting at my desk when searching for jobs. It served me well throughout many work-from-home jobs, but ever since I turned 40 and started spending several hours a day in a chair, I knew it was time to retire this and upgrade to a more ergonomic chair. As a recreational gaming chair and temporary office chair, this is sturdy and reliable. However, now that I work from home full-time (and also game on my PC, all while being 40), I could no longer use this as my main chair because the arm rests CANNOT be adjusted to the height I need, and the lack of a headrest gives me a stiff neck if used too much. To make this comfortable enough for eight-hour work days, it was ABSOLUTELY necessary to buy an additional seat cushion, a lower back cushion, and armrest cushions (which cost about $150 additional), which is still cheaper than buying those $300-400 gaming or ergonomic chairs. You get more than what you pay for, but for a someone over 40 who works from home and games on the PC, I cannot recommend this. This would be great for students, anyone under 30, or anyone with limited funds. I did give it away for free to my mom (who is 74 and likes to write on her laptop recreationally), and she was very happy to get it, even when the leather is worn down after six years. If you need something to get by, this is not bad
I Would Buy This Again
I got the solid black chair. I got this chair for my new desk that sits about 30" off of the ground. For this desk, this chair is perfect. I'm only about 5'4", and the back goes all the way up to about mid-head height for me. The chair sits quite high off of the ground naturally, which is a huge plus for me. I had used it for the past few days to get a feel for it while gaming, working, writing, and I have found that it's quite comfortable and sturdy. The chair is also pretty aesthetically pleasing, too. It's in the racer back style, but not over-the-top gaming chair racer back. It's not very large, so it works in more compact spaces, and its was pretty easy to put together. I mean, really easy. I thought mine came without instructions, so I looked for similar instructions online. When I found the instructions that DID indeed come with my chair, I had put it together just as was printed. One thing I noticed is that since I only weight just over 100lbs, I had to get a friend of mine to break in the reclining mechanism after I put it together so it would actually move for me. This was even after "loosening" the tool it to it's maximum. Overall, it's nice, sleek, and perfect size for a short and small gamer. I hope this chair is still available for whenever mine wears out.
Not perfect - but solid enough to recommend
I have a really bad back - I had horrific scoliosis that I had a major fusion for (essentially my entire spine is fused) and in spite of promises it would help me, it's made the pain far worse. I am only 28 and I cannot work or do a lot. My experience in getting a chair since I moved has been a bumpy one. Sight unseen and untested, I bought a used Aeron. It was in perfect condition, but I absolutely HATED it. I sold it and bought something else - but the other chair came both broken and missing parts. I went to an Office Depot and didn't find anything I really loved, so I came back to Amazon and ended up going with this Furmax, which is what I was originally going to get instead of the Aeron anyway. For 60 dollars, it's a five star chair. For any more than that, it's a three. I'm rating it according to how it functions, not its price, as I feel that is FAR more helpful. Especially because Amazon works off a star system and not everyone reads every review. And prices also fluctuate. The good: - Attention to detail and packaging - the hardware was in its own cardboard and plastic sealed container, which was nice. It also included a thorough inventory list, instructions, and even a link to an assembly video. - Very easy assembly. It was very straight forward, and I managed with no help. The hardest part was getting the back to align with the seat - but it wasn't that hard. - Back support. I don't know how they did it, but the back support on this is SUBLIME. Even more expensive chairs I've had don't come close. Wonderful job there. - Quality. I can't speak for durability yet, as I just finished putting this chair together, but the screws all seemed to be of good quality, and the chair itself is solid. I don't worry about it breaking or anything under me. The bad: - The seat itself is just plain uncomfortable. It's a very hard seat and I'm likely going to have to get a cushion or pillow for it. Not something I should have to do with a brand new chair. - The arm rests. T
