Another cool thing from Ubiquity
Not a first Ubiquity’s device in my experience, but another one great SWG in their portfolio. There’re no big differences about the setup and administration. Wifi7 is another good new feature, hard to assess it quickly, but I’m sure it will contribute later. For me it was important that this Dream machine has a desktop form-factor and embedded WiFi module.
Best little Router
This router is a must for the price
Do it. Make the investment. This is your sign
This thing rules. Worth the investment, great entry point to Ubiquity. Been super stable, very user friendly and the companion app is beautiful and simple to use and get setup and running. I’m no big computer nerd or networking guy, but I’m not dumb either. This works for the newbie to routers all the way to the expert. It’s been rock solidly stable and works with all of our stuff.
Fantastic Router 100% happy with it so far!
Absolutely fantastic router, enterprise features at home user pricing. Very easy to set up initially but if you want to get deeper into raw networking then this router supports everything you could want, 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz WiFi, vlans, guest network portal with password or voucher access etc. Really good user interface although initially it was a bit of a learning curve with so many options. I was a basic network setup type of person before getting this so there was much to learn but I have managed to set up a really professional home network with separate zones for house stuff, IoT, guest and work. I added with no effort a U6+ AP, Express 7 AP and a USW-Lite 8 port PoE managed switch and it all can be setup and managed by this router. If your serious about networking this thing can deliver lightning fast WiFi and is extremely flexible. The only slightly negative thing's I can say about it is the signal strength is a little lower than my original router, not by much, and it does get warm, it has a fan but it is barely audible so I wouldn't put it in a small enclosed area. Final statement is Ubiquiti products are really capable devices, easy to setup but extremely powerful.
Excelente dispositivo
Compre el UDR7 recientemente y funciona de maravilla, supero mis expectativas. Lo recomiendo!
Beautiful Router in every aspect
I can't get over how well this Router performs. When I glance at the router it shows me how many devices are connected to it as well as how many Mbps are being used. And the fact that I can slide an SSD into the base of it for storage is Ideal for the Ubiquiti cameras I use outside the house. With the built-in security details this router far surpasses any other router I've ever owned. The router not only gives you excellent coverage, but it protects your system as well. You can't go wrong with this one.
