Fun once set up
Took a bit to get working with my RC plane and mission planner using a raspberry pi. But now I can fly it with a joystick and PC or update flight data while it’s in the air!
Got here fast
It got here fast, it is not the cheapest unit of it's kind, and has been kind of a headache. I am using it with a Speedybee F405 Wing Mini. To spare any other buyers the hassle, since it comes with no documentation, it is an HM-TRP chipset which for similar applications, will need to be configured using the Sik RadioConfig application (I am using Windows 11). The tool that worked for me, I got from MKme on Github, I just had to change the Mavlink setting to RawData, the 57600 baud rate seems to work fine. Plugged in to the telemetry port on the F405 (TX4 and RX4) then enabled MSP for UART 4 in INAV. After all this, I am able to wirelessly connect to the flight controller, but still have not performed any range testing. Also as a side note, I did switch the antenna for the remote end to a smaller Lora antenna
Works - needs documentation.
At first my system would not sync with each other. I had a blinking green light on each radio and a intermittent blinking orange light on the air radio. The radio comes with no documentation so it was hard to determine if I was dealing with a firmware, hardware, or other configuration issue. As it turns out, my board was producing insufficient voltage and after making a wiring change, it worked out and it is now synchronized and accessible via Ardupilot. Check your pin outs if you're having issues.
Very useful and lightweight
If you're planning to build a drone, having reliable telemetry is essential for seamless control from your phone or ground station. This particular telemetry module offers outstanding range, allowing you to fly your drone even farther. Additionally, its impressively low weight promises extended battery life. The build quality appears to be excellent, with the board featuring components from reputable brands. I was pleased to find that it also includes an OTG cable. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone in need of reliable telemetry for their drone.
UAS Telemetry Unlocked
Great product! Definitely serves its purpose. Thanks for a good product and sending it out quickly so that I can complete work on my aircraft
