Durable starter

I’m a new pilot. This little helicopter has taken a beating and still flies great. Very durable for a beginner. Must fly in very light wind. Under 5mph.

Has an achilles heel design flaw

Flew great--briefly. Then mid flight all the swash ball joints to the rotors disconnected while flying. Unfortunately the return/support period had passed....

Check screws before flight

Great to fly, plastic retainer on the drive shaft lost retaining screw and broke, flew ok for an another week until it vibrated apart. Be sure to check before flying. 😔

Very Disappointed with ERA - Plenty of Room for Improvement - ERA 355MM Helicopter Set

Before I Really Get Started, Let me say that the ERA 355MM Helicopter Actually Fly's Very Well. The ERA 335MM Helicopter Requires 4 "AA" Batteries from you, the Flight Batteries and Charger are Included in the Set along with Extra Blades and the Two Drivers for the Screws. The Included Instructions are Not the Best, There isn't a Screw Chart to Show you which Screws go where, You are in Serious Trouble if you loose any of the Three Types of Long Screws -> There are no extras Included in the Set for any of these, and they are of a odd sort, Plenty of the Shortest Screws that you won't use for anything though. On Page 6 of the Assembly Process it should be Noted that the two Pylon Wings are Marked R & L, This Tiny Tidbit would have saved my some time & headaches. I did use a very small amount of my own CA Glue when assembling the Wings & Weapon Pods -> Keywords -> Very Small. Honestly I Really Expected more from ERA on their Helicopter Set. When I ordered the ERA 335MM MD500 C189 Remote Control Helicopter I thought it would come as a Two Tone Jungle Camouflaged Paint Scheme with the Same Decals in the Images on the Box & in the Listing, ERA Shipped the Helicopter with a Single Drab Army Green Color and a Cheap Set of Decals that didn't match those in the Images at all. I gave the ERA 335MM MD500 C189 Radio Control Helicopter a High Three Stars to a Very Low Four Stars Overall, I was Very Disappointed with the Quality of the ERA Helicopter, Lack of Screws, Paint, & the Decals as Mentioned, the lack of High-End Features is another area. All said the ERA Helicopter does Fly rather Well, Keep in mind that the ERA Helicopter Doesn't Feature any of the Standard High End Features found in this Type of Model Today, Including Return to Home, & a Better Bail-Out Stability Control System to assist in a Upset Event would be nice.
