A bad way to play Sega Genesis games that might be worth buying anyway if your expectations are low

This is not a good device, but for the right price you may enjoy it. It forces a filter that makes everything look weird and forces the output to fill the screen. The controllers are cheap and suffer from some missed inputs but are admittedly comfortable with a surprisingly good Sega-style dpad disk. Like its handheld little brother, it doesn't support save states or saving to cartridge SRAM. It simply dumps games to memory so you can't use flash carts or the like. The included games range from awful to excellent. NES games built in: 8 Eyes - fun but very difficult Castlevania clone, you can't play two player Bad Street Brawler - legendarily bad but very charming brawler Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum - puzzle platformer with cinematic aspirations Eliminator Boat Duel - super fun boat racing The Immortal - the Genesis version is included on the cart so there's no reason to play this Little Lancelot - a really confusing Pitfall homage, originally released as Prince Valiant Metal Mech - a weird, ambitious mech platform adventure Motor City Patrol - an amazingly ambitious proto GTA (original) that is undermined by terrible level design and bollards everywhere The Mutant Virus - a valiant attempt to make a game out of Conway's Game of Life, it's fun if you have patience Nightshade - an excellent adventure game with terrible fighting segments and okay minigames Noah's Ark - a Konami bible platformer?? Power Punch II - a truly awful boxing game Pyramids of Ra - a fantastic and originally unreleased puzzle game, a port of the Matchbox Game Boy game Road Raider - originally Mad Max, this is a weird and mostly bad but very ambitious road combat and run and gun game. Stanley: The Search for Dr Livingstone - a fascinating Metroidvania, but one that is much better with save states Target Renegade - a truly awful beat em up Thunderbolt - a fun unlicensed vertical shooter, not a terrible way to kill time Treasure Master - a legendary scam contest and bad game, I have to confess

Terrible value, poor game selection, and no sound

I'm a huge fan of retro video games, and this is one of the worst ways to play retro games that I have ever seen. I was hoping there would be something here to justify the ridiculously high price, but I can't do it. Not everything about the system is horrible, but even the best parts of this console are just worse than other products that are already available, both licensed (like NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition) and unlicensed stuff like handheld emulators or FPGA consoles. All of which have been available new for the same price or even cheaper. It comes with all you need to connect to a modern TV via HDMI, but I could not get the sound working on any of the games no matter what I tried. The screen stretches the native 4:3 games to fill a wide screen, which of course is the worst way to handle video signals for retro games. The game selection is both limited and terrible. Hardly a game on here that I would want to play for more than a few seconds. The controllers are decent, but I'm not a fan of the copper pin connectors. They look ugly and feel like they might bend if you're not careful. Without the game inserted, you can play some built-in NES games, and after inserting the cartridge, you can play some Sega games. Not really sure why they did it this way, since they could have easily fit all the games on the internal memory, or even put them all on the cartridge. It just seems a bit random and pointless. I can't recommend this to anyone, and I don't even want to try to give it to a child as a gift, because I don't want to punish someone else with this console and give them a bad experience with retro video games. 1 star =(

Sehr gute Anschaffung!
