A remarkably good little helicopter
I’ve flown RC helicopters before, and this little Airwolf surprised me. The optical-flow positioning and altitude hold work very well. After a little trimming, it practically hovers by itself. The controls are smooth and far less twitchy than another small helicopter I own. I flew through the entire first battery without a crash and even managed a few gentle pirouettes. It also looks great. The scale Airwolf body is nicely done, and two USB-C rechargeable batteries are a welcome addition. This would be an excellent helicopter for a beginner, but experienced pilots should enjoy it too. I have another helicopter for camera work and more challenging flying; the Airwolf is the one I’ll fly when I simply want to relax and enjoy myself. It’s extremely lightweight, so outdoor flying requires very calm conditions. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with it: stable, attractive, easy to fly, and fun. As an extra treat, the company tosses in a booklet wherein the English translation is so bad that it serves as a comic book.
