My first impression was that this electric water filter looked very well-made and durable with its compact, rugged design. I appreciated that it came with everything needed including the USB charging cable, pre-filter, and outlet pipe. The instructions were straightforward. After testing it out on a recent camping trip, I was quite impressed with the performance. The one-button operation was very convenient - no manual pumping required like with some other portable filters I’ve used. And the flow rate of 350-700 ml/min was fantastic for quickly filling up water bottles for our group. The 2800mAh battery also lasted well, giving us plenty of capacity for a multi-day trip. Now let’s dive into the pros and cons! The PROS: (1) Advanced 6-stage filtration with 0.01 micron accuracy. (2) Removes over 99.9999% of contaminants per SGS testing. (3) High flow rate up to 700ml/min is great for groups. (4) 2800mAh battery provides 1000L filtration per charge.(5) Compact, durable design is great for outdoor adventures. The CONS: (1) Pricier than some other portable filter options. (2) Requires access to a water source, not a standalone reservoir. (3) Needs periodic filter replacements every 6 months/180 days. (4) USB charging requires backup power bank for long trips. My final thoughts are that the BKLES electric water filter is an excellent choice for frequent campers, hikers, international travelers or those wanting a reliable emergency preparedness solution. While it’s an investment, the advanced filtration, convenience, and high output make it well worth it for accessing clean water outdoors. J
A must have for camping/hiking
My son is an outdoorsy guy. He loves camping and hiking. I knew this would be a perfect gift for him. This electric portable water filter is made to last. It's pretty light, so it's not going to weigh down your pack. It charges with a usb c cord which is included. You can filter over 250 gallons from one filter, depending on source. The flow rate is great at around 15 to 29 ounces per minute. There are 5 stages of filtration, giving good quality results. Operation is simple. Put the pre filter into the water. Water will begin to filter with the push of a button following a few seconds to clear out air. The life of the filter is dependent upon the water source. Obviously, the harder it has to work to filter the water, the sooner it will need to be replaced. Longevity of these types of filters also depends on proper care. Do make sure to clean and maintain it as directed to extend the life of the filter. Use of cleaning tablets is suggested. Do recommend.
Super easy to use, better than gravity filter for sure
I've been using gravity fed membrane filters for years now and when I saw this one with a built in pump I wanted to try it immediately! I now have 2 of these. No more setting up bags to squeeze water from or all the other frustrations that go along with those. And this one is only slightly larger, but it actually has 2 membrane filters plus it has the carbon filter which also removes other contaminants. I've been using a standard carbon filter for years to remove the salt that my water softener adds to our water and after learning more about PFAS (plastics) in the water I wanted to use a micron filter also, but didn't want to do a full reverse osmosis system necessarily, so I got this instead and so far I'm very happy with it. I've been using it for a few months filtering just under a gallon a day and have only needed to charge the battery twice, which is amazing! Having the bag is super handy so I can take it with me when I travel for work, especially when going to areas that I might not trust the water and the occasional hiking trip where I want to filter stream water. Very happy with it so far and haven't had any issues with daily use for 5+ months.
Camping must have
This is a nice little water pump for camping to filter the water as easier for little kids to use than a straw. We used to fill up pots and pans for cooking as well. I have liked it so far. It is very easy to use, but I would say they could adjust the in and out for a bit in my opinion it would make it for a a bit easier use. It is a little bit heavy, but I think that’s because it has a good battery life, I have not fully drained the battery yet so to be determined on that. I like how it comes with a carrying case that everything fits within pretty easily and the tubing is a standard size so your typical straw cleaners will work on cleaning inside of the tub tubing. The compression fittings work pretty well I have not had any issues with it leaking in my bag or anything like that just make sure to shake it off and push all the water out before storing long term. All in all if you’re looking for something in this category, I think this is worth the investment and you will get your use out of it. We will definitely be bringing with us on our next camping adventure!
