High quality material, practical for everyday wear
The first thing I noticed was the high quality of material used. Machine work on each component is excellent and precise. Some people complained about the bracelet but I don’t find any issues. No need to replace the bracelet. It looks perfect for the dial. It’s quite accurate in terms of time. Displays date and day which is helpful. I can see the time in dim light thanks to luminosity of hands. Bezel rotates only anti clockwise but with assuring clicks. Slightly stiffer than I would like but not a big deal. This bezel is the main reason to buy this watch. I can time work, my walk, gym time, etc. very useful if you know how to effectively make use of this feature. It’s a comparatively heavy watch but reassuring so. All in all a great buy. Recommended.

Beautiful Watch, But Major Power Reserve Issue
This Seiko 5 (model SRPD55K1) is a truly handsome watch. I love the classic look of the black dial and the overall build quality feels solid. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. Unfortunately, I have a significant problem with its performance that prevents me from recommending it. The manufacturer claims a 41-hour power reserve, meaning it should run for that long when not being worn. In my experience, this is completely inaccurate. Even after wearing it for a full 12-hour day to charge it, the watch stops running after being off my wrist for only 8 hours. This is far short of the 41 hours advertised and indicates a potential problem with the automatic movement's ability to hold a charge. It's frustrating to have to reset the time every single morning. For a watch from a reputable brand, this is very disappointing. While it looks great, it doesn't function as needed for daily use unless you wear it 24/7. Perhaps I received a faulty unit, but based on my experience, I cannot say this watch meets its key specifications.

Purchased the SRPD55K1 mid February ,first one I received had the notorious Seiko fault of misalignment which is usually the bezel insert or chapter ring however mine was the indice at 6 o'clock (see pic 3 ) Returned this for replacement which was absolutely perfectly aligned.I have purposely waited for the watch to run in for at least a month(wearing it for at least 12 hours per day )before reviewing the accuracy of this watch and it is astounding for the price. The movement is the in-house Seiko 4R36 and after 4 to 5 weeks it seems to have settled at minus 3 seconds per day which is 99.995% accurate. The look of the watch is very good and easily readable,its luminous hands and indices are outstanding and it has 100 meters water resistance which is more than enough for anyone unless you're James bond. It has hand winding and hackable features. It is everything you need in a mechanical watch with the knowledge that its from a great watch manufacturer. I know theres a lot of competition in this price range ,even some cheaper but all in all.......they just dont seem to be able to match that feeling of having a quality Seiko watch on your wrist. N.b This watch has come in for unwarranted criticism for been a poor SKX replacement.It is not the SKX replacement ,its a Seiko sports, if you need the James Bond 200 meters water resistance buy a seiko prospex but be prepared to dig deep into your pocket.

Good entry level watch
It’s my first seiko watch. I got it at really good deal on amazon. It was quick delivery from UK to Australia. Watch looks good at first look. I have been wearing it every day since last 4 weeks. Nice movement and good looking dial. Easy to adjust day and date. My only complain is with the bracelet. The bracelet of this watch doesn’t do justice with its gorgeous dial. It’s good bracelet and works fine but somehow it looks cheap with the dial. It’s very light weight as well. I will definitely change it and get some cool straps from strapcode. Overall I think it’s a good watch for entry into the watch collection. Now the next watch is seiko turtle Pepsi on my list.

Japanese Rolex. Lol
I've built a nice collection of watches. I can say this is my favorite. I wear it the most. Gets a lot of looks. Solid, manly watch. Durable lens and the automatic winding you can't beat. Well worth the money.
