It is not PCIE 5.
It is not as advertised or as shown in the box... if you check the cable it shows pcie 4 unfortunately. And i had issues with it (the blue screen of death).
Authentic PCIE 5 x16 Speeds. Trust Lian Li, and not knock offs.
PCIE standards for GPUs are fast evolving, and vertical display of video cards is becoming more and more popular. In order to do this, you need a riser cable. Buyers beware. Most PCIE risers are from knockoff companies that claim the speeds will reach their potential maximums. This is far from the truth. In this space, both price and brand deliver and guarantee what you're looking for. Trust Lian Li, who has been in computing for ages with high end cases, RGB cables and now riser cables at true PCIE 5 x16 speeds. Take a look at the pictures comparing a knock-off PCIE 5 Riser (white) with the Lian Li PCI-520X PCIE 5 Riser (black). The cabling on the left side of the ribbon tells you all you need to know. How do you know your cable is PCIE 5? EZ PZ Follow these instructions: 1) In your bios, make sure your PCIE Link is set to PCIE GEN 5 for your GPU slot and not AUTO 2) In your bios, make sure your multiplier is set to x16 and not AUTO That's it! If you leave it at Auto, if you have a knockoff PCIE 4 or PCIE 3 riser being advertised at PCIE 5, it will work because the mobo will automatically set the speed to work. That's why it's automatic. That's why people buy the knockoffs because the system posts and you're none the wiser. If you set PCIE GEN 5 at x16, a knockoff cable will NOT allow your system to post past the bios startup screen. Your Windows 11 login will never show up and you will only have a blacked out monitor that doesn't receive a signal because the cable cannot transmit at these speeds. There are a few other ways to verify, but this is the easiest. CPU-Z doesn't always show 32 GT/s for current link speed, which is the max for PCIE 5x16. This does not necessarily mean you're not at PCIE 5 x 16, it just means it's not transmitting at that speed (e.g. false negative). The other way you can verify is to slot your GPU directly into your motherboard, benchmark, and do the same with the riser and vertical mounting. You literally should get the same score within

Get this cable if you love your gen 5 bouncing between 8GT/s and 32GT/s mainly living at 16GT/s gen 4. Also check your HWInfo. Watching your PCIexpress error counter climb like a rocket is really fun. What a horrible cable. I want to thank Lian li for making me an expert at draining my loop and chasing my tail. Do yourself a favor. Buy the uplink cable. And if you bought the lian li vertical mount. Take the cable off and throw it out. Buy a good cable. Stay away from this cable at all cost. When it does connect at gen 5 your errors won’t stop. Runs decent at gen 3/4 tho.
