No, dice que es para slot de 2.5 y no cabe una rtx 5070 ti de pny que usa ese slot. Se devolvió y no me han procesado la devolución
Possible Issue
Edit: after getting another PSU, issues stopped. Wish the PSU that it came in was ATX 3.1 compliant or at least not a “cheaper” one Might edit review if I get it to work better Case build: it’s a solid case. Easy to carry around and seems durable Functionality: as advertised with usb4/thunderbolt speeds Setup: plug n play… ish. Gpu goes in pcie port in the case. The. You plug the PSU cable to the gpu. And power the case. You’ll need to manually install your gpu drivers which is normal but people forget Compatibility: this is where I’m iffy. I’m using an amd based Omni book connected via usb4. I fit a 3080ti into the case with a bit of room to spare. Drivers install easily enough, however, after maybe 30 minutes, the enclosure powers off/trips for a split second. Enough to crash the game. Sometimes it auto reconnects and sometimes I need to completely clean out the drivers and reinstall them I believe it’s due to the power supply and have ordered an atx 3.1 compliant PSU to test out. The 3080ti is known for sudden burst of power draw which is my guess for the culprit. And I assume this enclosure uses a cheaper PSU meant to handle more steady power draw For anyone who may have the same issue, I ordered a 750w Corsair E labeled PSU. Check the dimensions. E models are usually the smaller ones that would fit this case Planning on testing it out and will get back to this review after. For most cards, this enclosure should work if this is the issue. A 3080ti is notorious for these sudden spikes but would’ve been great if they included a reliable atx 3.1 PSU
Solid enclosure, do your research first
I'm giving this five stars with a caveat: I haven't actually been able to use it yet, and that's mostly on me. I don't currently have the right setup to take advantage of it. So take this review in that context. The enclosure itself is solid. Installing my GPU into it took less than ten minutes. It powered on without any issues and I could see the fan on my card spinning, so everything on the hardware side seems to work as expected. The reason I can't use it is that you need USB 4 or Thunderbolt to connect one of these, and it turns out none of my computers have either. I have a few machines including a couple mini PCs, a personal Macbook, a work Macbook, and a desktop tower. None of them ended up being compatible for various reasons. If you're considering this or any other eGPU enclosure, make sure you actually have USB 4 or Thunderbolt available, or that your motherboard supports adding a card for it. Also worth noting: newer Macbooks on Apple Silicon don't support eGPUs as far as I can tell, and they definitely won't work with Nvidia cards unless you're running Windows or Linux on them. Just do your homework before buying. I'm keeping it around for whenever I do have a compatible setup. The build quality and ease of installation give me confidence it'll work fine once I sort out my end of things.
Good Hardware with a few problems
In my little office, I have miniaturized practically everything. My NAS systems are small (2x Terramaster F8), my computers are small (3x KODLIX GD50 64 Gb Ram, 1x MSI Cubi 5 with 64 Gb Ram and Thunderbolt 4), but my monitor is large (32 inch curved 240Hrz SANSUI). Please adhere to the usage directions of the Thunderbolt box before buying this and it will save you from a large heartache. Thunderbolt 4 may not be the solution you want, but if you plan ahead and do your homework you will have lots of fun with this eGPU case. Here is my adventure: It is not 100% Plug and Play as you would think. Sure, you insert the GPU and connect the box, but there are a few things to absolutely think about. 1. You need all the drivers for the graphics card, find out where to get them first. 2. DO NOT JUST CONNECT RANDOM THUNDERBOLT 4 CABLES FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES! If you do that, it may not work properly. Thunderbolt 4 can daisy chain up to six devices, I have three, so make sure all the cables are from the same manufacturer and as short as possible (Silkland USB4 for Thunderbolt 4 Cable 1.6FT, 40Gbps Data Transfer, 240W, 8K@60Hz on AMAZON). The cable that came with my box was defective and really caused problems setting up the eGPU box. After changing all the cables for new ones and installing the correct Nvidia drivers for my MSI RTX 3060, everything started to work, but some games (Ark Raiders) didn't quite want to cooperate and stuttered really bad, and the colors where horrible. The solution I found was: 1. Use all the same manufacturer cable type and length. 2. Correct GPU drivers. 3. Reduce your FPS to 60, then change your Windows resolution down two levels, reboot, and then set it back to your normal settings. This makes windows resync it's setting to the new environment and reboot again! 4. Turn off the integrated graphics so that there is no conflict between graphic resources. (Don't worry, use the device manager to accomplish this). Don't be startled if after rebooti
