Works as described and above and beyond.
I’ve scanned over 45,000 books in the last 35 days with this device. It has only died once. I quickly plugged it into my portable charger and was back up and running. The wrist strap is a bid small and not adjustable so it broke going over my hand. This unit is mean for a normal to large hand. Still feels good after hours of use. Going to see if they have a matrix version scanner as that would increase productivity for my employees. Positive: it hooks up to iPhone so quick and easy. Run through the manual once and find the barcodes you need to scan for your settings. It’s so easy it’s unreal. Thanks guys for an awesome inexpensive solution to barcode scanning. Nothing negative to say it’s a work horse.

Does what it needs to do - QUICK AND PAINLESS!!
This was the FIRST BAR CODE SCANNER I tried in years and it was: ***Down and dirty quick install to run - Simply plugged in the USB Dongle into Windows10 PC. SNAP.*** (Hesitated for days and days on buying and looked at many scanners before plunging on this one.) Tested scanning into: -Open notepad file. Scanned each test barcode into separate lines automatically after each scan. What I needed. -Excel file - multiple cells / fields. Dropped down to next cell automatically after scan. What I needed. -QUICKBOOKS - WOW - scanned into each selected field easily, auto pasted code where I needed it and then jumped to next field or line in the description body text. Was NOT expecting that. EXCEPTIONAL - WHAT I NEEDED!!! (Side note - don't fall for it - you don't need the QuickBooks Warehouse Manager platform to scan barcodes into invoices with this. "IT JUST WORKS"!!) Buying another one as back-up. But, yes the wrist strap is NOT the best. But, I only intend on using the strap for hanging on the side of my desk on a small metal hook for quick access. Haven't tried running it yet for any period of time to test battery life yet. Helpful hint - when scanning bar codes close to other print, cover the other print or areas that can look like part of a barcode - it will cause some scan code copy errors if not careful. I usually don't do reviews - but was so impressed with the plug in dongle (Windows10 detected/set-up), power on bar code scanner - and BANG there-she-blows no muss or fuss and it worked methodology - I had to pop in a review on this one.

Just a quick note on Linux support
While the specifications don't call out Linux, it does work in Linux for me using either the RF dongle or direct wired connection. I have not tried Bluetooth, as the dongle suits my current needs. Quite happy with the scanner so far! Update: I've been using this scanner wired and with the RF dongle under Linux quite happily. I decided to try Bluetooth connectivity under Ubuntu and it worked! This is not a supported configuration from the vendor, as far as I can tell, but it does work for my configuration. Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS on a Dell Latitude 7490. This scanner is terrific and perfect for my needs. Highly recommended!

Dream come true
I have always wanted a scanner but I was too cheap to buy one. Plus I did not want to deal with how fragile they are. This one is cheap to purchase and works very well. I have several techs that use it and they have not broken it either. There is much less of a chance of typing in the wrong information on some of these really long part numbers or serial numbers. This little guy makes it so much easier.
