You get what you pay for
This is a beautiful knife. Its steel is hard and durable, after a few months of intensive use it is still razor sharp. It has very good balance and will cut dead straight when held correctly (it is a relatively thin blade). Visually, the knife is nice, with a natural "Damascus" look to the steel and a well-made wooden handle. To get the best from this knife, wash it after use (right after the food preparation) and be smart about your cutting board - no glass or bamboo boards as they will murder a sharp, thin blade. Think about keeping it in the box that it comes in rather than in a wooden block unless you know that the block is made from a softer wood.
