Compatibility issues and limited value
Not fully compatible with limit switches: One of the thumb screws that attaches the backplate to the carriage can run into the mounting bracket of the X-axis limit switch before the switch is triggered which leads to homing failing and excessive wear on the belt. The only solutions are to either remove that screw (which would mean a significantly weaker connection of the two pieces) or to move the backplate down reducing the z-axis adjustment range. Replacing that screw with a lower profile M5 screw may allow the clearance necessary, but I did not have any on-hand to test it out. You also lose a few centimeters of workspace on the Y-axis due to the extra thickness of the backplate over the original. You also need to move that Y-axis limit switch to compensate for that. Construction and materials are good. It works well enough that I will continue to use it, but I would likely not buy it again. It is not a really improvement over the stock Z-axis unless you really need to finetune your Z-height.
A Must-Have Accessory
No more frustration—this accessory makes laser focusing effortless. Focusing the 5W/10W Longer laser can be a finicky process, but this tool changes everything. With it, dialing in the perfect focal point is quick, precise, and repeatable. My results have improved dramatically. Installation was a breeze—took less than 10 minutes, and everything fit perfectly. The build quality and precision are impressive. If you're serious about clean, consistent engraving, this is a must-have upgrade.
Not what i needed but will work for other lasers.
Only works with lasers under 20 watt maybe even under 10 watt. But quality.
Does not fit my Ray 5 10W
Looked like an upggrade that I wanted. But does not fit my Ray 5 10 watt. The holes don't line up on either piece. Now I have to pack it up and return for refund.
