Best looking and priced fans I have purchased for my build easy to install and setup
Lian Li "Wireless Fans"
So I received these fans to replace my AIO fans that one of which has a high pitched wine to it. First off the "Installation instructions are close to pathetic, Lian Li should do better. To understand my take on these "Wireless" fans you need to know more about my system. My system has 10 overall 120mm fans. I am into performance and the look of my "Fish Tank" case. So about these fans. I think the term wireless fans should be lightly used in describing these fans. With my current Corsair fans there are two wires per each one resulting in 6 wires for the three fans. For these 3 fans you have 2 wires with 3 possible PWM connections and one USB 2 connection. With each additional set of fans you need additional PWM and USB 2 connections. So in my system with my ten fans I have used up my 2 USB connections. Even reducing to 7 fans I still do not have anymore USB 2 headers. So I purchased a splitter, introducing more wiring and cost to introduce these fans into my system. So with my affinity for looks in my system these "White" fans in my opinion are a very light grey. In my system I currently use f software programs to control all of my fans. Corsair Icue, Aorus GPU, Edge MBD and now the Lian Li fan controller. I use this system for gaming and performance so I do change settings often so it is a pain to already have three softwares to deal with and now adding a fourth, will! So performance wise in use while running Cinnebench R23 it is about 2 degrees warmer than my current in use AIO Fans. The fans are very quiet in normal use as all I could hear was the air movement in my case. The fans did reach the fan speed specification stated on the data sheet. So for me these fans just do not fit my use case. More software, the color match was just not there and the purchase of an additional USB 2 hub. I also the use of the term "Wireless" is a bit of a stretch. These Lian Li wireless fans, in my opinion, should be used in a system where they are all that are used in the system.
Sturdy and built to last
I had adopted the original Uni fans and these are a substantial upgrade. The RGB on these fans look awesome. The lights are on the blades instead of just around the frame. It makes a huge difference in the amount of light produced. You can adjust the colors and intensity in the desktop app. The daisy chain design limits the amount of wires in your case. The fans have rubber pads in each corner to prevent any vibration noise. These work well and are simple to install. One of the best RGB fans on the market!
USED FANS
To be clear, I love and own lots of Lian li products. But Amazon got me again, STOP SELLING USED PRODUCTS AS NEW!! The fans show obvious signs of already being installed, screw holes have been threaded prior to me and are stretched out. Bag that screws come in was cut open. All parts are there and they work, but again I’m in a time crunch for a customer and had to install right away. At least offer a partial discount. This happens way too often
