Very Disappointed – Laptop Stopped Working Almost Immediately
Extremely disappointed with this purchase. I bought this refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad for my daughter to use for university. Shortly after it was delivered, she had to leave for college in Turkey, and when she tried to use the laptop, she immediately started experiencing serious problems. After barely being used, the laptop crashed with a BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO blue-screen error and would not start Windows properly. It went into Automatic Repair, which was unable to fix the problem, and we had to spend a considerable amount of time troubleshooting and attempting a System Restore. This is incredibly frustrating, especially when the laptop was purchased specifically for a university student who needs a reliable computer for her studies. Being away at college and suddenly having a laptop that won’t boot is the last thing a student should have to deal with. I understand that this is a refurbished product, but refurbished should not mean unreliable or unusable. I expected the laptop to have been properly tested before being sold. Instead, we ended up dealing with a major problem almost immediately after receiving it. Very disappointing experience. We have completely lost confidence in this laptop and will be returning it. I would give it 0 stars if that were an option.
