Converted sound quality is amazing!

I purchased this unit to try and finally digitize my cassette collection before they deteriorated. I could not be more impressed with player. Not only does it convert easily and seamlessly. The sound quality is unbelievable. The built in speaker, of course, could be a bit better quality but does the job at low volume. The earbud headphone are decent but have trouble staying in ear. Overall, if you want a portable Walkman style player with converting in mind. This player for the price can’t be beat. I have already transferred about 150 cassettes to digital. Seems pretty robust . Have plugged mini SD/usb provided into Bluetooth speaker and away it goes. Hours of memories. Brilliant. Glad the tech has finally caught up at a discount. 👍

Cassette to didital no problem

Great device with great functionality allowing me to digitise a batch of cassettes some over 40 years old. Very easy to use. Very useful feature is that once the cassette gets to the end the recording automatically stops so no wastage of storage space.

At last! A cassette to MP3 converter that actually works!

Like a lot of people my age, I have a large collection of audio cassettes that I've accumulated since the 80s. I have a number of audio tapes that I recorded from the radio. This content is unique and could never be commercially digitized, and is thus irreplaceable. I've used cassette players that use a 3.5mm audio cable as output through the headphone port to a computer, and audio capture software records the stream. This is often unsatisfactory because the more devices used, the more noise that is introduced in the audio stream and capture, plus Windows is finicky about using audio inputs and often doesn't recognize them, which is yet another source of frustration. This is a self-contained system that has everything you need to record your old audio cassettes. It removes the necessity of using the computer to capture the audio stream. When you play your cassette, and you press RECORD on the front panel, and it starts recording the audio stream to the SD card (included with the tape player). The default name of the first track is TAPE001.MP3. When the cassette is finished playing, the player shuts off and the recording stops. The recording level from the tape to SD card is set internally by default, you don't need to adjust it. In fact, it isn't possible to adjust it because it's programmed at a set level, so your recording levels won't be too high or too low. At this point you can turn over the cassette and begin the process again. The recorder will save the next the track as TAPE002.MP3. You can record as many tracks as you like until the SD card is full, which is unlikely. The system has the option of ordering either a 16GB or 32GB SD card. You can removed the SD card and view it on your computer using the included USB adapter. You can save the tracks however you like on your computer. I bought the 16GB model because it was the smallest one they had and that's all I need. This cassette player is powered by a rechargeable battery which uses a USB-C cable (also pr
