Favorite Air Purifier
I’ve gone through dozens of air purifiers over the years and this one is by far my favorite. The Shark BreathClear is a compact air purifier that seems to be very effective at even mid size rooms. I put it in my basement in a mid size room and it seems to help purifiers the air and give accurate readings (when compared to a third party monitor.) The screen is a very nice touch as it gives the purifier a very modern feel. It’s easy to use but it also gives you a lot of data and options. The screens color changing feature and large numbers make it easy to see what’s going on from across the room and you can click one button to change the settings or dig into the stats. The noise level is great on the lower settings which is where I keep it and it seems to be effective. You can turn it up to high if you need a little more boost, but of course it’s going to be a good bit louder. Overall I’m very happy with this purifier and I’ll probably be getting more to put in other areas of my home as it both looks great and purifiers great while not taking up much room.
Quiet, Easy to Set Up, and Great for a Busy Pet Household
We have two dogs, two cats, and kids, so there's always a little extra dust, pet dander, and the occasional mystery odor floating around the house. I picked up this Shark air purifier hoping it would help improve the air quality in our main living area. Setup couldn't have been much easier. After taking it out of the box, there's a helpful reminder sticker telling you to remove the plastic wrapping from the filter before reinstalling it. Once that was done, the on-screen setup only took a minute or two, and the unit was ready to go. One feature I really like is that it continuously monitors the air and displays an air quality reading, so you can see when it detects changes in the environment. The biggest surprise, though, was how quiet it is. Even while it's running, it's barely noticeable. I often forget it's on because it blends into the background so well. I can't scientifically say whether the air quality has improved because I don't have a way to measure that myself. However, knowing it's continuously filtering the air in a house with multiple pets gives me some peace of mind, and I do appreciate having it running. Overall, if you're looking for an easy-to-use, quiet air purifier for a busy household, this has made a positive first impression.
Very effective little air purifier
We have used a lot of air purifiers and this is the favorite! I got it for my grandbaby and since he’s not born yet I tried it out in our primary suit, which is around 500 square feet. It gets really musty when it gets warm in there. We have two AC units and keep that room hot during the day to conserve. When I set up this machine, it was hot in the room and it had that musty smell. The unit showed the air quality was 84. Before I cooked the room it was up to 100 and the musty smell was totally gone. It is very easy to use and I was impressed at the large area it cleaned. It’s not very noisy and will be fine running in the nursery. It looks like it will be easy to clean and a long filter life is a big plus. I pay about $60 per filter for my other purifiers so this little unit will pay for itself if the filter lasts even a few years. Another plus is being able to see room temperature and humidity at a glance. I’ve always been satisfied with the Shark brand and so far this air purifier is no exception. I may have to get one for myself as I’ll be giving this one to my daughter for the baby’s room.
