overall good product as described
some users commented that they received random plates, I beg to differ I believe they have standard plates and not 2 but infact 3 different plates, flat grill, sandwich and Belgian waffle. I agree with other people that heating is not evenly distributed as top middle part remains ungrilled while the rest is already done, so i have to manually flip it to make it even. This is the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I do not understand why people are complaining about size, it is pretty much standard waffle size. Also I did not smell any chemical, I removed all the plates before my first use and turned it on so if there are any fumes they will evaporate before i cook my food and it did happen. after that all was good.

Excellent Product
I almost didn't buy this product because of some of the reviews but I'm glad I did. It makes excellent waffles. Don't overfill the plate though. It can take on a regular sized bread and medium stuffing while grilling or making a sandwich. The instruction manual says that you should turn on the device without any food in it for at least three times at full cook time before actually cooking food in it. So, at first when you turn it on smells of burnt rubber and smokes out but according to the user manual, this is normal. I followed the instructions and everything went well. It's easy to clean and doesn't stick. It's great value for money. I love it!

Poor Quality
I’m extremely disappointed with this sandwich maker. The handle broke within just one day of use, which is unacceptable for a product that is supposed to be durable and reliable. I expected much better quality. I would not recommend this product unless the manufacturer improves the build quality significantly.

Good product - odor issues
It works well, plates are nice, we get three options. But the odor is so off putting. It just kept being there for the first few uses. It did not affect the taste or smell of the sandwich itself but it’s not so appetizing having a burning plastic smell while making something to eat
