I’ve had the Q1 Ultra for a few weeks now and have really been enjoying it. I came from a Varmillo VA87 and honestly this is an enormous upgrade in terms of switches and stability. The Q1 feels incredibly substantial, it’s extremely weighty and takes effort to shift around on your desk. The switches (I got the tactile) sound great think raindrops rather than clicky keys. This did get me on a bit of a quest to see how quiet I could get it so I invested in some TTC Silent Bluish White switches after sampling a number of options which truly took it to ‘quieter than membrane keys’ territory. Switching out switches with the included key and switch puller is easy enough, but I’d be tempted to invest in a better tool if you’ll be playing with a ton of different switches. Firmware upgrades and configuration are easy with a web-based tool in a supported browser like Chrome (this didn’t work for me for a few days after getting the keyboard but now seems solid). I’ve used it mostly wired - but having both Bluetooth and a dongle is great, and being able to switch between them is just a case of flicking a (physical) switch at the back. If you’re fussy about the keys being in the right spots between Mac and PC, that’s a switch away too. I’m not much of a gamer so I can’t speak to the 8K polling rate, but for my home office it feels incredibly responsive and looks very handsome. If you’re looking for a keyboard which is quiet and with a bit of time you can get to be silent, while looking incredible and feeling like a tank look no further.

Top of the line quality, stunning looks and exceptional build
Exceptional build quality, solid functionality, and a battery life that’s hard to top. I got lucky and snagged it during an Amazon Lightning Deal, and I have to say waiting for a discount is the best way to go when there are so many similar keyboards out there for less money (like the Lemokey P1 or even the plastic fantastic version Keychron V1 Ultra 8K ). This keyboard is Keychron flagship quality for sure though and I’m only rating it four stars because I would have preferred the black model over the white but it wasn’t offered in the deal. It’s a beautiful piece of gear regardless and I’ll be sticking with Keychron until somebody else makes a better Mac-friendly keyboard for the money.

Fabulous Keyboard!
Not sure where to begin on this one. Two things that definitely stand out with this keyboard besides it's RGB flare is definitely the WEIGHT and the SMOOTHENESS of the keys. This thing is a HEFTY keyboard. I own some heavy keyboards, but this one takes the lead. THIS IS A HEAVY KEYBOARD! It's ok because it's going to stay in one place during use. This is great for you heavy handed gamers or serious typists. The keys are a brown variety. The SILK POM type of switches are smooth as butter. The travel for these are perfect for my taste. Not too shallow nor too deep. The keys sound is between thocky and silent. One thing about mechanical keyboards that are HIGH QUALITY is you don't know how much nicer it is to actually use one if you never used one. Coming from a VERY NICE keyboard like this Keychron Q1 Ultra to a stock run-of-the-mill keyboard is brutal. The experience just isn't the same. I noticed it wasn't as enjoyable to type on, and my hands were fatigued on the sub-qualilty keyboard. There are some nice mechanical keyboards out there that I love which this keyboard makes them undesireable in comparison. The polling rate is a whopping 8K. It's wireless: via wireless dongle, and bluetooth. There is a hard-wired USB option that I use. Has a nice VOL knob on the top right of the keyboard. This 75% variation does not have a 10-key numeric pad on the right. Pros: This is an incredibly nice keyboard. It's hotswapable, great for gamers, productivity, typists, anything computer related, it's PERFECT. The keyboard being a mechanical keyboard is customizable. ULTRA HEAVY. Compatible with MAC , Linux, Windows. I like the contours of the keytops, it helps maintain a well pronounced press on keys, and helps prevent from slipping between keys. CONS: Poor data entry because this keyboard has no 10-key numerics, but that isn't a flaw ... it's an option. The included keycaps are not translucent in the lettering. Not a deal breaker. ULTRA HEAVY! Overall this is a great keyboard. If

PREMIUM keyboard
I have a few other Keychron keyboards, including another keyboard in the Q series (Q11) but wow, this keyboard takes the title of the most premium-feeling keyboard I've tried. First of all, this thing is HEAVY, deceptively heavy. I'm not sure why it's so heavy it's not huge and it's an aluminum body (not unlike my other Keychron keyboards)--it's almost as if they've deliberately put weights in it. It definitely stays planted down on your desk and won't accidentally get bumped out of your desired keyboard placement position. The keys feel great (and surprisingly glassy) and the switches are satisfying as well. As you'd expect from Keychron's offerings, you can configure this keyboard with the web app and there's full RGB backlighting. I'm also a huge fan of the volume knob on a keyboard and this one delivers on that front as well. It took me a while to get used to typing on this keyboard, I think it's the height of the keys that threw me off, or maybe these particular brown switches take a bit more actuation force than my other brown switch Keychrons, but I was able to adapt within a a few days. This keyboard also has the 8K Hz polling rate available through a wired connection but just throwing down some characters on a screen I think that feature is a bit lost on me personally and I'd keep it lower to conserve battery life on the wireless connection methods. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2.4GHz RF, and wired USB-C--I only tried the USB-C though since that's what my desk is set up for. Oh and for whatever reason there's some sort of art etched on the back metal plate. It's not really explained in the packaging, manual, or the listing when I bought it but it's there and it's neat. Although this keyboard has a good size for portability, with the surprising weight it's packing I wouldn't say it's a good keyboard to throw in your pack and take on the go, it's definitely more of a desk set up keyboard.
