Sticky edges
I plan to use the plate as a fixture plate for machining, so I do not know how well it will work in optics situations. I gave it only one star because of a stupid defect in packaging. The plate is sandwiched between two polystyrene foam sheets, and the sandwich is inserted into a folded sheet on polyethylene foam. This is sealed on three sides with a strip of clear tape. The problem is that the tape is in contact with the edge of the aluminum plate and leaves adhesive on it when the tape is removed.
