Preiswerter RC-Controller für den Einstieg ins FPV-Training
Der Controller macht zunächst einen wertigen Eindruck, vor allem für diese Preiskategorie. Die Oberfläche liegt angenehm in der Hand, die Schalter haben einen klaren Druckpunkt und die Sticks bewegen sich sauber, ohne direkt billig zu wirken. Angesteckt wird er problemlos erkannt, sodass man ohne langes Einrichten direkt starten kann. Im Simulator zeigt er dann, was er kann: Für Einsteiger funktioniert er sehr gut, da die Steuerung recht intuitiv und stabil ist. Die Deadzone der Sticks ist etwas größer als erwartet, was bei sehr präzisen Bewegungen auffällt, in der Praxis beim ersten FPV-Training aber noch verschmerzbar ist. Für absolute Präzisionsjunkies könnte das ein Nachteil sein, für Lernzwecke reicht es aber aus. Für mich passt das Gesamtpaket: Ein Controller, der einfach funktioniert, sich gut anfühlt und das Üben im Simulator einfacher macht. Gerade zu diesem Preis bekommt man ein ordentliches Tool für die ersten Flugstunden im FPV-Bereich.

Excellent Budget-Friendly RC Simulator Controller for Beginners and Enthusiasts
I recently picked up the S8 Pro RC Flight Simulator Controller (Mode 2) and have been pleasantly surprised by its performance and compatibility. As someone who's been practicing with various FPV sims, this controller has proven to be a solid entry-level option for training and muscle memory building. Wide Compatibility: Works seamlessly with PhoenixRC, RealFlight, FreeRider, and even DJI Virtual Flight—plug and play on Windows with no extra drivers needed. 8 Channels: Offers enough channel support for most drone and fixed-wing simulator needs, including aux functions and switches for advanced training. Realistic Feel: Gimbals are smooth and responsive. While not high-end hall sensor quality, the sticks have good tension and precision for the price. Affordable: At this price point, it’s hard to beat the features and ease of use. Overall, the S8 Pro is a great option for anyone getting into FPV sims or RC training without dropping hundreds on a high-end transmitter. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and a solid stepping stone before moving to real flight.

Good Practice RC drone controller
Radio Controlled flight simulator controller. The Stardrone S8 came with instructions (non English) and the necessary USB cable. The simulation/game software was not included but there are free ones I found on both iOS and android. The controller is very lightweight and has plenty of the switches and settings you find a an actual flight controller which can be configured in the software you use. The controller is a good low cost way to get into the hobby without the risk of losing an expensive drone while you are learning. The skills required to fly a drone are difficult to master and a great deal of practice is a good idea. I included a photo of the listed compatible games so you can try finding them ahead of time. The DJI simulation software is available for free on ios and works well with the Stardrone S8. The green setting worked for me on both iOS and android. I would recommend trying that one first. The controller is not for actual drone flying. Only simulator use!

Great standalone sim controller!
I've been flying FPV since 2017 and I've wanted a standalone sim controller for years. Using my actual FPV controller is great for maintaining the same feel on the sticks, but it can be a bit unwieldy for quick sim sessions. This controller perfectly fills that void with minimal drawbacks. The gimbals, while not the highest quality are perfectly suitable for sim use. They include aluminum CNC stick ends, so they do at least feel like my actual FPV controllers and provide great grip. Spring tension seems pretty standard, but is not adjustable easily. The included switches allow you to program all the basic functions you would on your FPV drone, but may not be sufficient for certain fixed wing operations or job specific drones that need many different forms of input for different functions. The mode selection button on the face makes it easy to switch between different protocols, depending on the simulator. For my use, I mostly use the Steam mode, but have also used the DJI mode as well. Setup was very simple, my computer recognized it as a controller as soon as I plugged it in. I just needed to calibrate in the settings of each sim and I was off to the races. The case of the controller is on the thinner side, but the slightly textured coating does make it feel pretty good in the hands. Although you may notice a bit of flex when things get intense. The compact form factor is great and makes it much easier to keep on my desk than my big NV12 with a full size crossfire module in the back. Overall this has been a great controller for sims and I'd recommend it to anyone getting into FPV. Or anyone who wants a standalone sim controller. Don't listen to Doug's review, he's obviously not an FPV pilot and likely only flies camera drones. FPV controllers are not supposed to auto center the throttle, otherwise you'd be fighting against it constantly. FPV requires an immense level on throttle control, since your sticks are directly controlling the motor's power level. As opposed

Nice materials, good performance for flight sim
Great set of sticks, I have been using it for all sorts of games including MS Flight Simulator. The grip texture is nice and stays grippy when my hands get sweaty.
