Keeps the M18 Hammer Drill Kit Organized Without Wasting Space

This insert turns a PACKOUT Compact Organizer into a dedicated case for the Milwaukee 2904 M18 FUEL hammer drill instead of leaving the drill, battery, and bits loose in a larger toolbox. The fit is shaped closely enough that the drill stays planted in its compartment while carrying the organizer around, and the separate battery pocket keeps the pack from banging into the tool. The bit storage is especially handy. A basic set of commonly used drill bits can stay with the drill, so grabbing the organizer for a quick drilling job means the drill, battery, and bits are all together. There is still enough separation between everything that pulling out one item doesn't require unloading the whole case. This is a much cleaner setup than cutting foam by hand. Foam can make a great custom case, but it takes some work to lay everything out correctly and tends to sacrifice storage depth. Generic PACKOUT bins provide more flexibility, but the drill moves around and uses the available space less efficiently. This molded layout gives up some flexibility in exchange for a much more purpose built setup. The biggest issue is the price. Around $59 is a lot for an insert, especially since the PACKOUT organizer itself is separate. The value makes more sense for someone already invested in PACKOUT who wants the 2904 stored as its own grab and go drill kit. Tight socket holes

The insert fit great in the Milwaukee box. Only issue was the socket holes. The 1” and the next two down… were too tight to fit the shockwave sockets. I plan to get some sandpaper on a dowel and open up those holes to fit the sockets.

Strong, protective, precise fit

Although I don't have a Milwaukee PACKOUT, I do have my tools organized in various containers in my SUV and camper. I place it in a tool container and its appearance makes it easy to see. I use this insert like a tray where I can easily reach for it and have everything that I need. No oversize case and no fumbling around. It's versatile, I can work out of my tool containers or take it out and carry it with me to where I need it. I can place it on the ground without getting dirt or debris in or on the drill and bits while I'm working. The insert is well made, light weight yet strong and durable. Photo 1 shows the front and photo 2 shows the back, which is solid. Photo 3 shows the sizing guide for storing the drill bits. It is helpful but a little hard for me to read. Photo 4 shows how snug the drill fits. The battery you see is a 5 ah. You can also see there's some space for a larger battery like the one in photo 5, a 9 ah. I enjoy using it as it saves me time and hassle. It is well made with a good design and very practical. I recommend it.

Keeps an M18 FUEL Hammer Drill Setup Organized

This insert is a great way to keep the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 inch hammer drill and its accessories organized instead of having everything loose inside a case. The molded layout gives the drill, batteries, and accessories dedicated locations and makes the whole setup much easier to transport. I use Milwaukee tools regularly for equipment maintenance, construction work, and repairs around the farm, and I have become a big fan of fitted inserts. When you’re moving tools between the shop, truck, and job site, having everything secured in its own compartment keeps expensive tools from beating against each other. It also makes it immediately obvious if a battery or accessory is missing before you close the case. The drill fits snugly without being difficult to remove, which is exactly what I want from an insert. Once everything is loaded, the case looks considerably more organized than simply tossing the drill and batteries inside.
