How to make this item perfect!
I don't normally write reviews, but I have to tell you this product works great. We have a marble patio that has 16x24 pavers with a leather finish. They are 1" thick and heavy. It's been a few years so some of the pavers have settled and I took on the project of re-leveling everything. I messed with three types of suction cups from the cheap to the hand pump types that were over a hundred bucks. The biggest part of the project was trying to get the suction cups to stick to the textured finish. I decided to try the Dewalt but was skeptical because of some of the negative reviews. Bottom line.....push the button and it worked every time. Period. The only issue was one that was pointed out in some of the reviews. The buttons would stick if any sand or debris got on them. This was irritating as I had to disassemble the unit twice to clean them. I correct this using a little home engineering. See photo. Worked like a charm after the fix. Dewalt needs to put some heavier springs in this unit.

Opened my Garage Door when the Garage Door was broken, no problem at all
I purchased this Dewalt Grabo Lifter because on odd occasions, I need the ability to lift something big and flat, and I am getting older, so it is not as easy as it used to be. It is rather expensive for what it does, and how often I believe I am going to use it, but when you have the right tool, it makes things easy. As it turns out, I had an application tailor-made for this tool. My garage door stopped opening automatically, and while it was possible to reach the disconnect (to make it manual use only) there was no easy way to reach the garage door handle on the inside because of all the stuff piled up near the door. So opening the door from the outside was fairly challenging (no handle on the outside for security reasons). I bought a couple of manual suction grabbers, but the outside of my garage door is textured, and the manual suction grabbers did not hold at all. I tried attaching the Dewalt Grabber, not expecting it to work, but after about 10 seconds it had fully gripped, shut off, and was solid as a rock. I tried to pull it off with a considerable amount of force, but no way. I am sure it could have easily handled 100 lbs hanging off of it. I easily opened my garage door, then triggered the release, and in less than two seconds it fully released. Wow ! I really like the Grabo Tool, but will use it rarely, so it is rather expensive for my use, however, when I need it for some odd application, I am convinced it will be darn near worth its weight in gold.
Super strong grip dewalt grabo
Very happy with the grabo from dewalt , been toying with getting one for a while and boy am I glad I did !! Just used it on 60cm x 90 cm sandstone slabs . It’s makes a big difference should have got one long ago !!
