Cool, if you never want to wear the watch on your wrist again
This purchase was an experiment. Would it be a better user experience to occasionally use my Apple Watch Ultra like a dumbphone? The answer is mixed. As others have pointed out, the design involves a good deal of screwing. The watch is secure, and the click wheel is mostly responsive. Unfortunately, i do still like to use my Apple Watch for runs and other workouts, but it’s no longer a daily driver. I wish that either this design worked like the RePod, where a single quarter turn is enough to free up the watch. Sadly, that brand doesn’t currently fit the Ultra. (They have one in crowdfunding at the moment, but it’s nearly $100, which is probably more than this is experiment is worth. In short, I’m returning this. But if you’re someone who is fine not ever wearing the watch again, this might be worth a shot.

Fantastic! iPod-ify your old Apple Watch
Clicker wheel works! It’s great! I thought it was just a fidget, but it is fully functional. Case is strong aluminum, smooth texture, as others have said it is a little slippery on the wheel, but pressing down harder fixes that. Fits perfectly. Comes with installation tools and extra screws. Designed really well. Feels just like my old iPod but much more upgraded. I touch it to my wrist and raise it to switch temporarily to switch it from my other watch. Then it syncs everything and works well as a “dumbphone”. Overall, fantastic. Def recommend.

It comes with no instructions! It was a little confusing to use ! So I sent it back!

Its ok
A little big and the wheel thing is quirky. But gives you the feel of an ipod. Went to a 3d printed one that is smaller and no click wheel.

Ok
Positives: Quality is nice, being metal instead of plastic like some of the alternatives. Negatives: Fit is a little finicky (and I confirm I ordered the correct size). -The button over the crown was slightly too tight, causing the SOS menu to trigger often. -The piece that covers the watch crown conversely seems to be ever so slightly too loose however. You can turn the case crown with your finger, and the screen responds fines. However turning the scroll wheel does not - you can see the crown on the case still turning, but it’s not making enough contact with the watch crown underneath. I discovered putting slight pressure on the crown with my finger fixes the problem completely, which tells me the fit is slightly too loose jut too loose, but still enough to affect functionality. -Also the shipping was WAY slower than advertised. Listed two day arrival time, but shipped out via standard USPS, which then was delayed twice. Ended up taking about a week to arrive.
