To preface this review: I am male, 47 years old, 5'10" and around 185 pounds as of this writing. I have been regularly working out at the gym for more than 3 years now. I am not a hard core body builder, but I do lift heavy so I can gain more muscles and achieve a better looking physique. I make sure that I eat healthy and I supplement with Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein. I only started using creatine five weeks ago. I was using another brand for a week when I first started but decided to go with Optimum Nutrition's Creatine Powder just to make sure that I am using something that is from a reputable company. I ordered my item on a Friday and got the product Wednesday the next week (I am based in Airdrie, Alberta Canada). I did not go to a loading phase, but rather I took a serving of the product every day, usually mixed along with my post-workout protein shake right after my work out. On my off days, I take a serving mixed in warm water; it does not dissolve easily when using room temperature water. I make sure to drink lots of water since I started taking creatine. As of this writing, this will be the start of my fifth week taking creatine. I am not sure if it's a placebo effect, but on this day I find that I have more energy during my workout. I also find that I can add a rep or two to my regular sets. I also feel stronger with each exercise and find myself having energy in store at the latter stages. For whatever reason, I don't feel as tired as the weeks past. One effect that I noticed right away though was during the second to third week of taking creatine and regularly working out, my muscles felt a bit fuller, which was noticed by my family and friends. This might be that water retention effect that I have been reading about. I also gained a couple of pounds right away and I believe that is from the water retention as well. I think I like this product very much. It does not upset my stomach. It does not have a taste at all when taken with water.

Package was opened when received, Not eligible for replacement is unacceptable. Powder was all around the inside of plastic cover!!! Beware! Buy in person !
