Absolutely Perfect – These RGB Lights Took My Setup to the Next Leve
I can confidently say this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made for my gaming and work setup. Right out of the box, these RGB light bars were incredibly easy to assemble. No tools, no complicated instructions — just plug them in, place them behind or beside your monitor using the included stands or adhesive, and you’re ready to go. The setup took me less than 10 minutes, and the result was instantly impressive. What really blew me away is how much of a difference these lights made in the overall vibe and feel of my space. The vibrant, customizable lighting completely transformed my desk into a futuristic, immersive zone. Whether I’m gaming, working late at night, or just relaxing with music, the ambient lighting adds a sense of depth and energy that makes everything more enjoyable. Plus, the colors are rich, smooth, and easy on the eyes — no harsh glare, which helps reduce eye strain during longer sessions. One of the best features is the ability to control everything with a smartphone app. You can easily switch between preset scenes, adjust brightness, change colors, or even sync the lights with music or gameplay for dynamic, real-time effects. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and highly personalized. The lights fit perfectly with the rest of my setup — the purple tones match my mechanical keyboard, mouse pad, and background lighting to create a cohesive, stylish aesthetic. This product doesn’t just look great — it also offers practical benefits. It enhances visibility, reduces strain from bright screens in dark rooms, and adds a clean, professional look that would impress any visitor, viewer, or client. Whether you’re a casual gamer, hardcore streamer, or remote worker looking to improve your space, these lights are a total game-changer. Bottom line: they’re affordable, easy to install, stunning to look at, and packed with features. If you’re thinking about upgrading your setup, don’t hesitate — these RGB lights are 100% worth it. It’s very good, but it still hasn’t major flaws
I can’t tell you just how much this elevates the experience of any TV but for gaming and movies once you have it you can never go without it. It’s such a big difference. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever buy a TV again without one of these sets or something like it. BUT!!!!!! Beware It’s by all means not perfect. Not even close. It has constant issues recognizing there is a signal going through the HD airports and you have to cycle through them. It blocks the vision from getting through even though the advertise it can it doesn’t. It’s really easy to check you can’t get 10 bit color through it. It only does 10 bit as it’s max you cannot do over so no 12 bit Dolby vision HDR if you’re using this HDR and HDR 10+ get through fine but they are both 10 bit This is a massive improvement over the first Guien like so much better. It shouldn’t be called the same thing because the first generation was horrendous. How anyone bought it and kept it I can’t imagine but this is a genuinely good product with some major floss.

Great Product, Minor limitations.
Great product, Some limitations, and a little pricey. This is no doubt a cool product that works well outside of 4K on high refresh rates, and VRR. It is also limited with the HDMI when running a multiple monitor setup. For your average gamer with 1 Monitor, and you can afford this and game at 1440 or 1080...Buy It! It enhances the experience so much. Where the limitations come into play. At 4K it advertises that it can handle a higher refresh rate (VRR and 144Hz) I find anything over 120Hz my monitor will not accept that refresh rate. Also, I tried adding this to my TV 55", it does not have the ability to power a longer LED light strip. The side lighting post work with the TV. My 5080 graphics card only has 2 HDMI ports, and my prior 4080 only had 1 HDMI port. The limitation this has is multi monitor set-up. My HDMI port is used for a sensor panel. So I did DP to HDMI cable into the Govee box... The lighting works fine doing this. However the output to the Monitor is only 60Hz and will not support VRR. It needs to be only HDMI all the way through. Adapters kill the refresh rate. However the lighting still works.

Obsessed
Buy! I have spent a lot of $$ on a Philips Hue setup on our living room (main room we watch content in). I could have saved a lot of $ if I’d have realized that Govee had a sync box for HDMI signals vs their older camera tracking setup. This product does what the Hue setup does far cheaper. I’m not super familiar with the Govee ecosystem but does seem that Hue allows a lot more extra light (think whole home concept) vs what I can do with Govee. Setup and install was much less hectic than setting up my Hue system. I’m very satisfied and would recommend this.
