Introduction set review

Everything else in the set was perfectly fine and present, including the paints, brush, ruler, dice and other accessories. All five Ork Boyz and all six Space Marines could be fully assembled without any problems. Unfortunately, Boss Nob component number 2 was missing. The two Ork sprues should contain 36 numbered components in total, but mine contained only 35. I carefully checked the entire box and all the packaging, but the missing part was not there, so I cannot complete the Boss Nob. This was the first Warhammer set I have ever bought, so I’m understandably a little disappointed that my introductory experience began with one incomplete model. I’m not blaming the seller, as this was most likely a manufacturing or packing error—I would simply like to receive the missing component. If the seller happens to see this review and can help me obtain part number 2, I would really appreciate it.

Great standalone kit

Great little kit (although a couple more paints would have been useful).

Good box, could be a bit cheaper

The models are great, very detailed and clean. One of the models was not very good to build - the Gatling Gun guy (I think): gun arm doesn’t fit in the socket well and leaves gaps both on the rear and front view. Paint selection seems really limited and almost greedy - even though it’s an introduction kits it doesn’t give a good selection of colours, especially for the orks, then end up looking bland/dull. Scenery is pointlessly flimsy and awkward to use in an actual game, especially with younger kids. The book is pretty good, content wise, not very good quality wise - falling apart very quickly at the centre stapling. Unless I mis-read something, it wasn’t very clear how the turn structure worked. I don’t recall it saying that each player took turns doing movement, range and then charge/melee phase as one whole turn. The power system and dice system was a bit confusing. The brush is poor.
