A nice addition to my Rennaissance costume that didn't cost an arm and a "Turkey Leg"!
I purchased this corset to go with a dress that I'd bought to wear for a Renaissance festival. I didn't get to go to the festival, but I was able to use the costume for a dinner date with my husband and friends. We attended a murder mystery dinner theater, and the theme just happened to be "Renaissance", so I was able to wear the dress and the corset I'd purchased. I bought the corset to wear over the dress. I was pretty happy with the fit, even though I'd never worn one before, although it was a bit uncomfortable sitting for a long while. But that being said, it IS a corset--they're probably supposed to be uncomfortable because of the way they're made to fit. I changed out the black ribbon for a gold colored one to match some of the elements on my costume. I must say, the ribbon I used was a little easier to maneuver than the one that actually comes with the corset. Overall, I think I made a good choice in purchasing the item, considering cost, fit, etc. I would recommend this corset to ladies who want to add something to their Rennaissance collection that looks nice but doesn't cost an arm or a "Turkey Leg"! Ha ha!
