Filament itself is good, but spooling is hit or miss.
I've been using eSun for a long time, but recently encountered several jams where the spool had been wound too loosely result in windings tucked against the inside wall of the spool. The cardboard spool also almost always arrives with bends so that it has to be straightened out to play nice with an automated filament feed system (e.g. Bambu AMS) and even then sometimes refuses to roll - something plastic spools have no trouble with. When competitors are selling PLA+ on plastic spools at similar prices, it no longer makes sense for me to buy this stuff. If you don't care about the spooling, then this filament is fine. It prints well and can withstand some serious punishment.

almost every single roll was a tangled mess
I spent too many hours trying to manage the tangled messes from these rolls. I usually buy elegoo filament, but decided to give this a try, and I'm definitely going back to the other brand.

Strong PLA filament with great adhesion, mild stringing
Always nice to see filament like this PLA that uses cardboard spools. I hate filling up our landfills with even more plastic. The cardboard works just as good so I hope all companies switch to it. The filament itself works really great as well. I printed a 2-piece custom-made figure/card holder for a board game and a couple of miniatures for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Bed adhesion was perfect, I didn't even need to use rafts for any of them. I printed with a .25mm nozzle on a Prusa printer and the detail on all my prints was better than expected. You can barely see the print lines yet you can clearly see the wood grain of the chest mimic and all the individual fingers of the archer. The figure/card holder pieces I printed with the back side flat on the printer bed, so rotated 90 degrees. I used no supports and you can see where there's several overhangs when printing in that orientation position yet they all came out fine. The pieces fit together perfectly so there was no warping at all. The game miniatures slide right in the slots with ease, the colonial marines logo is crisp and clear, and even the bevels on the Weyland-Yutani logos came out just right. The walls are 2mm thick so where the bevels of the logo attach to the walls is a bit thinner yet it all feels very strong and safe from breaking due to any rough handling. I did encounter some really thin stringing on some prints, mostly the figure/card holders, but I don't know if that's because of the filament or the printer/slicer settings. It was all easily removable with just my fingers. The only other issue I encountered was when attempting to load the filament. Prusa has an autoload setting but for some reason it wouldn't do anything when I inserted the filament (maybe the dark color?) so I had to load it manually. Again, I don't know if that's the fault of the printer or the filament. Overall very good filament with good adhesion and strength for PLA.

Reliable and Consistent: eSUN PLA+ Filament
This filament has proven to be a reliable and consistent choice. It prints beautifully at 210°C and adheres well to a 60°C heated PEI build plate. The results are on par with what you'd expect from high-quality PLA/PLA+. Prints come out smooth and detailed, with no significant issues. The eSUN filament feeds smoothly and I didn't encounter any jams tangles. Pretty much just hassle-free printing.
