Great little handheld
I got this to play some retro games and it works great and can even use the play store. It’s also very light to hold so it’s easy to bring around. The battery life feels great and the screen quality is not bad.

I admit I'm not the most techy-ish person, so I turn this over to my son, who has great experience with these types of items. So this is his review. The quality is really nice, the feel is great, and the screen quality is pretty decent. The unit doesn't come with any games, but if you know, you know where to get some good-sourced games. I missed out on the OG Vita or the PSP one, as it was before my time, and the resale market can be hit or miss. So I just looked around and found a few things. The set up was ok; some of the games worked, and some didn't, but it could be because of user error, but overall it's a great item to have to play old-school games.
Responsive Touchscreen and Good Controls
This handheld has been working well for me so far and has some great features. Since it runs Android, the fast touchscreen response makes a big difference. Menus feel quick to use, and the screen colors look accurate without looking washed out or overly saturated. The controls also work well. I have not noticed any delays, sticky buttons, or anything that gets in the way while playing. That matters a lot with a handheld like this because even decent emulation can feel frustrating if the controls are not right, so kudos for that. It is easily capable of emulating 8-bit and 16-bit systems, along with PSX. That is where this handheld makes the most logical sense and feels like the best fit. I would not expect it to handle PS2 well, so I have to keep things realistic, but fortunately, I prefer 8-bit and 16-bit consoles anyway. The screen size is nice too, giving games more room to breathe compared to smaller handhelds. Overall, this feels like a solid Android handheld with a good screen, responsive touch, and controls that do what they should.
Was fun while it lasted
This device is set up like an android, but it has instructions to switch over to the gaming system. I like that the screen is almost the entire front. The issue is that after the battery died the first time, I couldn't get it to charge at all, I tried different chargers and outlets but nothing. I may have just gotten a defective one.

There are two versions of the RG Vita. The regular, which is this one, and the PRO. A better version of this one. This is also available in two colors. Inside the box is just a charging cable. The RG Vita Pro has 1920x1080, a better processor, 4GB of RAM. 18W charging. It can use LINUX and has an output for video. Major con: It looks like a Sony Vita, but it isn't up to that quality, feeling a bit cheaper and more hollow. It's longer. The PS Vita felt much better. It's just a retro handheld that looks like the Vita and doesn't play Vita games. heh. It's named badly. Doesn't play Vita. =It can play Dreamcast, PSP, and Nintendo 64 games. =Battery is about 6 hours =9w charging speed =9.8 ounces =5 GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 =no active cooling =two downfiring speakers =3.5mm stereo jack = Android 12. Google Play Store. Pros =comfortable controls =great brightness =Does great with PSP games. Superior to the original experience with PSP games. =Good: Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Dreamcast Cons =lots of configuring for each system to get it running well =slowdown on Sega Saturn. Only 56 fps. =Chipset is bad. Snapdragon is better. = huge issue: ghost touching where things start moving on the menus without touching anything. Ever seen that on your phone where things are scrolling due to a screen protector? Way too common. Touch screen is BAD. This doesn't affect actual gameplay except for the Nintendo DS. =not a very good screen. Colors are very muted. Do not pop up on the screen. =colors are undersaturated =5-year-old consoles have better screens =weird oversharpening effect on lettering, which has been an issue for 5+ years on other versions =Ram is only 3 GB while previous versions had 4GB =less storage space with only 64GB + microSD. =This version can't really play Sony Vita games, unlike the PRO =no video out via USB-C =can't play Vita games, even on the pro version.
