Well made, premium handheld console with a dated, but capable chipset.
The Trimui Brick Pro came packaged like a premium product and the unboxing was fun. I applied the screen protector and was playing with in minutes. The unit will play games from the PS1 and down without a problem, it will play some N64 and Dreamcast games, but not a lot of them. The Trimui Brick Pro is the bigger brother to the Brick and fans of the Brick had hoped the chipset would be updated, but it was not this time around so it will do everything the Brick does just bigger, with a larger battery and with the added analog sticks. The biggest difference is the screen, it is a big 4” edge to edge screen and it is beautiful. It is one of the best displays in a handheld in this form factor. The analog sticks are a new addition and are premium Hall effect sticks so they will not drift or wear out like those old Nintendo Switch sticks did after heavy use. The last addition that I would like to point out is the big battery. The Pro is bigger and it gets a very nice battery upgrade over the Brick so you can have fun for longer. The unit itself is well laid out and resembles the original Gameboy which is retro and very cool. The unit is super portable and fits in a large pocket. It has mono sound, stereo would be a nice addition in the next iteration, but the sound is good. The buttons are very good quality like the D-Pad and give a nice, tactile clicky sound. There are more buttons than you will probably ever use, which is good for game compatibility. The Screen again is superior quality and the LED lighting is done very tastefully and premium looking. Once on the interface is super simple and easy to navigate. You can chose from several pre-installed games and they are organized is several different ways, but I prefer to organize them by platform. The games are easy to load up and the controls are already set up perfectly. It is easy to change settings or customize the looks. Some of the systems already have cool filters applied to them to look like a CRT monitor filter
