Great value for the money

I’m impressed with this camera. Is it perfect? No, but I’m still giving it 5 stars. I installed this above my garage door with the camera separated from the solar panel. The camera is under the eave and the solar panel is about 10 feet away mounted on the side of the house for better access to the sun to keep it charged. Install was a breeze. There is a template for drilling holes and everything lined up perfectly. There are screws and anchors included. The magnet mount for the camera is very strong and holds the camera in place even with strong winds. The solar panel is held in place with a plastic clip that tightens to the panel’s direction very well. The setup was just as easy as the install. It came with a bit of a charge that allowed me to turn it on and get everything set up in the app. I followed the instructions and was done in less than 15 minutes. I use a 256 GB card, which is a bit overkill. I’ve had the camera for six months and I’m only using 10.6GB currently. I’m using loop recording so it’ll overwrite the oldest events at some point, but don’t feel the need to get the biggest SD card possible because 32 or 64GB should be more than sufficient. I live in a neighborhood and it picks up several events per day. There are too many options to list in the review, so I’ll mention the ones that are important to me. Solar charging - It took a few days to get my camera up to 100%, but it fully charges on a daily basis and I’ve never worried about the battery running low even on cloudy days. Detection zones - I set up specific zones for movement, cars, animals etc. My neighborhood gets a lot of foot traffic on the sidewalk, but the zones work well to not trigger recording unless something/something comes into the yard off the sidewalk. This is sometimes tripped by shadows in the evening or lights from cars when it’s raining, but I’d rather it capture a few too many events than missing anything. Algo caro pero muy recomendada la camra tapo c460

Superó mis expectativas, dura bastante la bateria de la camara y con el panel solar no hay que preocuparse por cargarla, tambien tiene muy buena imagen de noche se ve muy bien y es fácil de instalar porque solo fijas el soporte a la pared y la camara se fija a través de imanes.

Good Quality and Brand of Security Cameras

I bought two of these solar powered cameras and one non-solar for my yard. I already had indoor Tapo cameras for my pets, so I did not need to set up the app on my phone, just add these cameras to the existing account, which made it quick and easy to set up, although the app was a little glitchy when I set up the first camera. Installation outside was quick and easy, as I just needed to screw the camera base to wood posts. Instructions are easy to follow and provide for a number of different circumstances, depending on your needs. The cameras take a few hours to fully charge before you install them, so get them charging as soon as you open the package. You will get an alert on your phone when they are fully charged, which is convenient. I set up one camera in the open where it gets plenty of sun throughout the day. The solar panel keeps that camera fully charged. I have never had to recharge it manually, although I have not had it throughout winter when there is less sun, so I expect there may be some drain on the battery, but not enough that a manual charge will be required. The second camera is in my carport so I needed to use the longer extension cord to have the solar panel separate from the camera. That is easy to set up and the cord is very long, allowing me several options. Initially I attached the solar panel under the overhang of the roof, but pointed at the sun. In the hottest part of summer, it maintained the charge at almost 100%. As the season cooled and the sun position moved, and there was less sun, I was losing power and the solar panel was not able to keep up. I eventually detached the solar panel from the post and used the long cord to position it on top of my rain barrel where it gets more consistent sun. Since doing that the solar panel has been slowly increasing the battery every day, about 2 to 4 percent a day. Great camera! I have purchased 3 now!

I’ve been extremely impressed with my Tapo cameras. These took less than 5 minutes to mount! The picture quality is very clear both day and night, motion detection is accurate, and the app would be easy to use even for someone who isn’t super tech savvy. Setup was quick, and I love being able to check on our Brittanys and puppies anytime from my phone. The notifications are fast, and the solar charging has worked great on my outdoor cameras. To connect to wi-fi it was super easy and with the paid service everything uploads to the cloud. for the price, these cameras offer features and reliability that compete with much more expensive systems.
