Expensive, but excellent video quality...
This is the first GW Security camera I have reviewed that made the claim of ultra high resolution and at least a pretty high frame rate that actually lived up to the advertising. I can confirm that it does indeed do 4000x3000 @ 30FPS. I do not allow anything less than 24FPS in my system so this was finally a nice change of pace. Other cameras have been claiming high FPS, but only allowing 15-20FPS at higher resolutions. Their advertising often combines their lower resolution FPS with their higher resolutions which is false. They often don't actually get their top resolution either. But this one gets both!!! Setup was as easy as plug-n-play. It was recognized on my network immediately. PROS: - This camera is ONVIF compatible and works well with RTSP (they even post the URL on one of the pages so that you can access it easily). It loaded right up in my UniFi UNVR. - The color night vision works pretty well. It is not the best I have ever seen in terms of minimal pixelation, but it is pretty decent. - PoE draw has been quite reasonable at about 6W on average for the most part. CONS: - A maximum of only 256GB of storage with a Micro SD card is extremely small for a camera like this with huge bandwidth consumption capabilities. I have not tested a larger SD card as I do not have one, so maybe it would work. But this really should have been spec'd out to be 512GB minimum. - As with most cameras the audio is not all that great. I have heard worse, but for a camera of this price I would like it to be better. - It is physically much larger than a standard 4K turret camera. Seriously, it is much larger. - Description says the color is grey but mine is completely black. I am not in the GW Security ecosystem and never will be, so I have no clue how well their features like motion detection, person recognition etc. work. I am not setting up an account to use the app or anything as you really shouldn't have to these days. This is why I am in the Ubiquiti ecosystem which can be ru
