radio haut de gamme

Très bonne radio multibandes, que ce soit en Sw ou Mw (avec antenne ext) , excellent en Fm. diminution assez importante du son en ssb ,un peu plus que mon pl 660 ,mais ça, je le savait. Très bon son et qualité de fabrication, supérieure au pl 660. Je recommande.

Podía ser mucho mejor, pero recomendable

Soy usuario de los modelos 909, 909X y ahora 909X2. Mejoras: Mejor pantalla y el uso de filtros para todas las bandas. Al estrechar los filtros en FM u Onda Media lo hace mucho más selectivo que los modelos anteriores. Otra cualidad de los modelos 909 es que aguantan perfectamente el uso de una antena exterior (dipolo, hilo largo, aro Wellbrock...), mientras que otros modelos de receptores portátiles se saturan. Comprobado en los Tecsun 880, H510 y 990X. Y por último su mejora de sonido e inclusión de la banda aérea. Defectos: Siguen con bajo volumen de sonido al usar la banda lateral. El peor defecto, para mi y reseñado por la mayoría, el ruido/silbido en onda media y larga cuando la estación es muy débil o no hay emisión en la frecuencia. Esto me desaparece cuando le conecto la antena de aro Wellbrock, convirtiéndose en un sorprendente receptor para el DX en onda corta, media y larga. Esto no ocurre en los modelos 909 y 909X. Y ya entrado en el tema y por su alto precio, podían haber incluido la información del PI en el RDS y toma de antena exterior para FM. A pesar de todo, me sigue pareciendo un modelo atractivo, robusto y manejable. Por mucho uso que tenga sigue pareciendo nuevo. En resumen lo recomiendo y espero su progreso, sobre todo teniendo la competencia de los receptores chinos TEF6686 que son sorprendentes; impresionantes en FM, y por la mitad de precio. De cualquier manera, el 909X2, TEF6686 y Eton E1 son los portátiles que siempre me acompañan. Saludos

Solid build in a quality product (serial number shows the radio was assembled on December of 2025)

Recent production batch (2512 - 2025, December). Firmware version 078, therefore it uses the newer hardware revisions. This is a heavy, well built radio. All knobs and buttons are working as expected. I like the lateral volume knob, it feels solid when rotating. The front tuning knob is very practical and works nicely. The package includes the radio, Sangean stereo earphones, Sangean long spool wire antenna, charger, and user guide (English, French, Spanish, Netherland, and Deutsch). As usual with Sangean radios, no batteries were included. The radio runs on 4xAA 1.5V drycells, or 4xAA 1.4V NiMH rechargeable batteries. I installed NiMH cells that I had previously charged on a smart charger. I selected NiMH/NiCd at the selector under the battery cover. Didn't test the charger yet. It looks powerful enough to handle the radio operation while also charging the batteries. Sangean paid attention to detail concerning EMI by installing a large ferrite bed over the DC cable. Used a Tecsun PL-880 for comparison. Both radios on their built-in telescopic antenna. Indoors by a large window. The time was not favourable (17h00) for best propagation here. I am at remote location, far away from transmitters, so signals tend to be on the weak side most of the time. FM is great. Good sensitivity and selectivity, good audio quality. MW is on the weak side. Sure, the 880 also struggles to acquire the two closest Portuguese low power emitters (RDP on 666 and 720kHz). But the 888 managed a cleaner audio, while the 909X2 showed some birdies. SW reception (AM mode) was abismal with just a few stations across the whole band spectrum). Couldn't catch any ham operators to test SSB. Then tried the 880 on the same SW bands, side by side. Yes, the 880 couldn't catch more stations than the 909X2. The SW bandwidth options of the 909X2 are good enough to compare it against the 880. I know the 909X2 uses a single SSB bandwidth, but from what I have seen from other testers, the SSB audio quality is s
