My 2nd Raddy, but you'll need to RTFM to understand the feature set and the menu buttons

Love the size and feature set on this for the price. Layout is very similar to a HAM radio and sized like a walkie talkie. The sound is great for a single mono speaker, no muddy, flat, or tinny. It's not bassy or crazy tweeter bright, but plenty of range almost all the way to max volume with minimal to no distortion, depending on your music. The BT works great expecially when trying to listen to podcasts or something you want to output beyond what your typical mobile device allows. Setup and programming is relatively easy and reading the manaul helps to decipher some of the icons. The operation of the radio is pretty broad and covers quite a bit from AM all the way out to Wide band frequencies, but you'll need to read the manual or use the phone app to make things a little easier to figure out. The display is a backlit blue screen with icons and some print that are quite small and hard to figure out, so the phone app really helps with this. You'll need to figure out what frequencies your area can recieve with frequency allocation charts and site like radioreference dot com. Battery life is pretty good, but I have not been able to figure out if there's a sleep time for the display to fade or power down to save battery life. Controls are easy and were pretty intuitive for me to figure out without looking through the manual initially, but that was just to turn it on and use the lock, frequency scanner, and preset frequencies. The charge port, MW T antenna, and SD card ports all all on top without a cover, so likely not a good idea to use this if there's rain or any chance of water intrusion. The stainless stell antenna is pretty durable and doesn't bend easily like some low cost radios do. Volume and fine frequency adjustments are all done on both large dials on top and in front. The button lock has two functions with a short or long press to prevent inadvertent operation of controls. The full lock prevents any adjustment and locks out everything except for the lock bu

Great little receiver

For nearly £100 this is a device that you probably need to have a serious use for. 30 years ago I had a similar device which cost a lot more at the time but of course micro-electronics have reduced the costs of things a lot. Back then there was a lot to listen to because most broadcasts were analogue and often voices. It was a fascinating hobby for a while. This radio seems to do everything my last one did and more and covers a wide range of frequencies. Despite now living somewhere where its difficult to even pick up FM, this radio was able to quite easily pick up the regular broadcast radio stations and the sound quality was very clear. That to me shows that it is more capable than your average receiver. I took it out to a nearby high point and spent some time going through various frequencies I thought might still have some interesting things on and I was able to pick up a fair few. It definitely works as advertised. There is an app for it as well. The app functions somewhat like a remote control which does make it easier to use. You'll definitely want to study the manual because it can be quite cryptic the controls and it arrives in a locked state which took me a few minutes reading to figure out. It looks very cool and like something out of a sci-fi movie. The controls are quite satisfying the blue screen gives it a fun feel as well. Battery life seems to be really very good. I'm tempted to invest in an outdoor aerial to see what else I can pick up, but I suspect most things are digital now and so would just come out as noise. It probably depends where you live in the world how much is available to listen to.

App Bedienung funktioniert sehr gut.
