Good little radio

Not a usable radio
Need to be on top of radio tower to receive a signal. Only reason to carry is because of small size. Intended for monitoring NOAA weather channels, never could get it to receive broadcast even settling outside. Requires ear phones to hear.
Needs a speaker too.
I like the compact size but I didn’t realize the built in speaker has NO volume so you need to connect it to an external speaker. Sending it back.
Do not recommend. Poor reception and hard to use.
This didn't work like I expected and it was complicated to use. Also, the reception was - at best - fuzzy. Also, the case is 3d printed. It looks/feels like it cost 50 cents to make.
A useful & fun gadget
The radio works great, but buyers should know a few things. 1. It's very small and you need nimble fingers to manipulate the controls. 2. Audio is low volume from the built-in speaker. Earphones or an amplified external speaker is a must. 3. Some presets are awkward. The CB band tunes in 1 kHz increments, not the FCC established 10 kHz channel separation, necessitating many turns for channel changes. Otherwise it's a quality receiver with excellent sensitivity, especially with the included high-tech loop antenna. You might want to buy a dozen or so and construct a dedicated receiver array. Use a preamp and splitter to feed every receiver from one antenna. Then set up analog comparators to route active receiver audio to the preamplified external speaker. Tune each receiver to a dedicated frequency. CB ch. 19, CB ch. 9, NOAA WX Alerts, Local RR frequency, Local aircraft frequency, Local FD frequency, Power 99, etc. Once it's all set up you'll never miss a beat. Ur Welcome! ;-)
