"retro" analogue radio,- simple to use!
This "KooingTech Full band radio" is a bit of a "blast from the past" for me in that as far as I can tell it is a traditional small portable radio that relies upon analogue radio signals rather than digital;- gosh,- what a refreshing change and so simple to use;- just like "the old days of wireless-radio"! The radio feels reassuringly solidly built and has a metal (alloy?) body that is sufficiently compact to fit into the palm of your hand. (see photographs included with this review.) There is an extendable aerial that comes with the radio which can be "bayonet mounted" onto the back of the radio and swiveled around to help locate the best signal for the chosen waveband and required frequency. A small digital "LED" screen display at the front of the radio confirms the selected frequency which is adjustable via the circular tuning knob which is also at the front. In my opinion the output sound from the radio was adequately clear once I'd "tuned-in" to BBC Radio 4 (speech channel) and there is a video clip included with this review showing me testing it by switching the radio on and listening to that channel. To ensure the radio can be powered easily and conveniently it comes with its own dedicated USB lead enabling its built-in battery to be recharged as easily as a mobile phone.
