Lightweight and Breathable Nylon Strap
This woven nylon loop band is a fantastic upgrade for your Fitbit Air, from the stretchy breathable fabric to the easy-to-use sliding buckle. It delivers exceptional comfort and great features. Right off the bat, the material feels super premium. It features a lightweight braided design, and I was genuinely impressed by how incredibly soft it feels against your skin compared to the stock silicone bands. The continuous loop means there are no loose ends flapping around. And you will find the setup is a breeze; you just attach the quick-release grove, stretch it over your hand, and you are all set! Also, I love the breathability of this sport strap. Having a woven fabric texture means you can easily wear it all day without your wrist getting hot and sweaty underneath. Dude it is perfect for sleep tracking because it is so light you barely notice it's there. It gives you incredible comfort when you are traveling or working out at the gym. You will notice a notable difference in how much airflow it provides compared to traditional rubber or leather straps. Coming to the adjustability itself, it is quite good. The metal slider buckle lets you dial in the exact tension you want instead of relying on pre-punched holes. It makes your life so much easier because you can loosen it quickly for casual wear and tighten it up for a run. My only pet-peeve is the metal buckle itself when working. You will find that when you rest your arm on a hard desk to type on a laptop, the metal slider presses somewhat uncomfortably into the underside of your wrist. But given how breathable the nylon is and the massive comfort upgrade for sleeping, I am extremely happy with this band. If you are looking for a soft, adjustable strap for casual daily use, this is a brilliant choice.
Comfortable nylon band with helpful anti-slip grips
This woven nylon band in the Rye color looks great and is comfortable for daily wear. The fabric is soft against the skin, and the color pattern gives the fitness tracker a nice aesthetic upgrade. It fits well, and I appreciate the small design details that make it stand out from other replacement straps. One of the best features is the addition of silicone strips on the inside of the band. These strips keep the device from slipping around on my arm, which is a common problem with most fabric straps. While the fit is secure, I wish the overall strap was a bit longer. With its current length, the hook and loop fastener ends up sitting on the side near the top of my wrist rather than tucked neatly underneath. I'd like that to be on the bottom of my wrist and not in my face. The hardware could also use an upgrade, as I wish the clasp was made of metal instead of plastic. It has not broken yet and holds up fine, but a metal clasp would make it feel sturdier and look better. Keep in mind this experience is specifically for the Rye color, as the other colors in this listing appear to have different construction. Overall, it is a good looking band with a few minor drawbacks.
The 'fog' color is not as green as shown on the product page, it's pretty much just grey.
I ordered the 'fog' color of this band. The product photos all show this band having a distinct pale green color. But this band is not really green at all. It's just a plain grey color, like actual fog. This is a little disappointing when the color you think you are getting does not match the actual product. I actually tried photographing it on different color backgrounds, and looking at it in different lighting, but I fail to see much of any green in it. Bummer. Having said that, I placed it right next to the Google branded 'fog' color band, and you would not which one was which by just looking at them (in the side-by-side photos. the one with the lighter silicone is this product). And if I look at the google store page for the fog colored band, curiously enough, their product photo for this color shows the same green color as the band on this product page. And to me, it actually looks like this manufacturer copied the product photo from the google store and rotated it slightly to make it look just a little different. The band itself is about 12" long and there is a small area at the end that has 4 oval sections that contain the 'hook' part of the Velcro fastener. This part is about 1.5" long. At the other end of the band, there is a 4" section with the other half of the Velcro fastener. My wife is the one who wears the Fitbit and she has tiny wrists (6.5") and this band fits just fine on her wrist. One thing I like about this band is that they included the tiny hole in the side to allow the LED indicator of the Fitbit Air to be visible. Sone other third party bands I have tried have missed this detail.
