A good quality extension lead with USBs.
I recently purchased the Anker tower extension lead, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. One of the key features that attracted me to this model is its surge-protection capability, which is essential for safeguarding my computer and other sensitive electronic devices from damaging power surges. The design of this extension lead is practical and well thought out. It boasts eight AC outlets, which is more than enough for my needs, allowing me to connect multiple devices at once without any hassle. Additionally, there are two standard USB ports and two USB-C ports; using just one supports fast charging. I’ve noticed that when I use the fast-charge feature with a single device, it significantly reduces charging time, which is incredibly convenient. Another highlight is the construction of the tower itself. It feels robust and sturdy, giving me confidence that it can withstand daily use without any issues. Plus, the aesthetics are appealing—the tower looks tidy and organised, which fits nicely with my home office decor. I also appreciate the high-quality, thick 2-meter extension cable, which provides plenty of length to reach my power outlets without creating a cluttered workspace. With this additional reach, I can place the tower wherever it’s most convenient. Lastly, it comes with a solid 18-month warranty, adding an extra layer of reassurance about its durability and reliability. Overall, I highly recommend the Anker tower extension lead for anyone in need of a dependable and feature-rich power solution.
⚡ The Ultimate Desktop Power Station! ⚡
The Quick Breakdown: 🌟 Pros: * ✅ Space-Saving Tower Design: Vertical layout keeps bulky plugs completely separate. * ✅ 20W USB-C Fast Charging: Plugs directly into phones for a rapid power boost. * ✅ 12-in-1 Massive Capacity: Powers up eight AC items and four USB devices at once. * ✅ Robust 7-Point Safety: 300 Joules of surge protection keeps expensive gear safe. * ✅ Long 2-Metre Cable: Offers fantastic flexibility for under-desk or tabletop placement. ❌ Cons: * ❌ Shared USB Power: Charging multiple USB items splits the total output wattage. * ❌ Single Master Switch: One button turns off the entire tower instead of individual rows. * ❌ Fixed Base: The tower base does not rotate for easier rear-plug access. ------------------------------ 🔌 Say Goodbye to Cable Chaos: A Deep Dive Into Desktop Efficiency 🔌 This vertical power hub completely transforms messy desk setups into neat, organized workstations. Instead of a long, traditional trailing socket that takes up massive floor space and tangles wires, this clever cube utilizes vertical space. With eight UK AC outlets smartly distributed across four distinct sides, there is plenty of room for oversized power bricks without blocking adjacent sockets. The top-facing USB deck is an absolute game-changer for modern gadget setups. Having two USB-C ports alongside two USB-A ports eliminates the need for bulky charging bricks entirely. The main USB-C port pumps out a speedy 20W of Power Delivery, which is perfect for reviving a modern smartphone or tablet in record time. It is worth keeping in mind that plugging items into all four USB slots simultaneously will share the total output pool, so high-speed charging is best achieved when using one or two ports at a time. Safety is where this unit truly shines, offering peace of mind when powering expensive tech. Built with a 7-point safety architecture, it packs 300 Joules of surge protection alongside overload defense and a fire-retardant shell. The single master switch on the
Convenient form factor, great quality
Very convenient form factor for small desk. Great charging capability with more than enough sockets. Great value for money, given Anker quality.
Solid usual Anker quality
Good solid and compact lead. PD USB works well and using this with a Belkin Qi2 charger attached which works well. One minor gripe is the output on the standard USB seem to have low output and when used with a Nest thermostat won’t keep it charged which is slightly disappointing. But other than that it’s a very versatile lead for the size and is the usual solid Anker quality you’d expect.
