Use the yellow for sync
Many have said this cable doesn't work correctly, but it works fine if you have a CRT that has an option for external sync. Regular RGB isn't going to work. You must use the yellow cable for external sync or it's going to look scrambled. I was very happy with the quality and that it came with BNC adapters. Absolutely worth the price. Attached video is recorded with my cell phone and a 9" Sony PVM.

Don't listen to negitive feedback, this works perfect, please note this cable is for PVM monitors only known as professional video monitor, this is a great product the negitive feedback is not needed, also you cant plug in all cables to all consoles at once, you must only have one pluged in at a time, otherwise you get dark image, it wont work, if you own a pvm its a must have crystel clear graphics and for the price this is your best bet,
Nope - not component signal. BAD
Purchased specifically for Dreamcast component output and tested on both a Panasonic CT-27D12DF and a Sony KV-30HS420 HD CRT. In both cases, the cable produced nothing but a rolling image with severe pink color distortion. Extensive troubleshooting was performed, including direct connections, testing through a component switcher, and adjusting display settings. The Dreamcast itself was verified working through S-Video, composite, and RF, all of which produced a normal image. Given the identical failure across two very different component-capable CRTs, this cable either fails to output a proper YPbPr component signal or is defective. The product description provides virtually no technical information regarding signal type, compatibility limitations, or conversion method. For a product marketed specifically toward retro enthusiasts, that lack of clarity is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this cable as a reliable Dreamcast component solution.
Please be smart and only use these on a PVM
I see reviews of people buying these cables and saying they don’t work. It’s made for PVM’s. They work extremely well. I’m very happy with them. The fact that one cable can be used for multiple consoles is an amazing bonus.
Did not work on PVM
I have a pvm, it did not work for me. Either RGB or Component. Scramble blue screen and a buzzing sound. Connected original composite cables and poblem solved. Will return item.
