An easy way to add extra NVMe storage.
Very impressed. I am getting the claimed transfer speeds with my FOG ASUS PC. I use this item with two 1Tb NVMEs which were left over after a recent upgrade to my internal SSD capacity. I have also tested cloning a system drive which worked faultessly

Most useful bit of kit you can buy for your computer. Unfortunately it doesn't with older M2 chips but works amazing with new ones. Very quick! Best value for money. Very cool always.
UGREEN 40Gbps Dual Bay NVMe enclosure for my office setu
I recently purchased the UGREEN 40Gbps Dual Bay NVMe enclosure for my office setup, and it has been a fantastic addition to my workflow. I’m using it with my Mac Studio, and the 40Gbps speed is incredibly fast. I installed most of my applications directly on the NVMe drives inside the enclosure, which means I no longer have to worry about my Mac Studio’s internal storage filling up. Everything runs smoothly and launches quickly, almost like it’s running from internal storage. Another thing I appreciate is the very low noise level. Most of the time the device is almost completely silent. The only time I notice the fan is when it’s handling heavy workloads, such as copying large files or running demanding applications, which is completely expected for high-speed NVMe storage. Overall, the build quality, speed, and reliability make this a great solution for anyone who needs fast external storage for professional work, especially for Mac users dealing with large files, editing, or running apps externally. Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-performance NVMe expansion without compromising speed or stability.
Not true hardware RAID!
★★☆☆☆ — Not true RAID, and unreliable to boot ★★☆☆☆ — Not true RAID, and unreliable to boot Bought this expecting proper hardware RAID as implied in the listing/marketing, but it’s not that at all — it’s just two NVMe slots that you have to mirror yourself using your OS’s software RAID (Disk Utility on Mac, in my case). If you don’t already know that going in, you’ll be disappointed. That’s the false advertising part for me — “RAID enclosure” reads as hardware RAID to most people, and it isn’t. Bigger issue though: even set up as a software mirror, the drives kept dropping out mid-transfer. Twice during a straightforward file copy the whole enclosure vanished from the system, fan still running but the drive gone, then came back after unplugging and replugging the power. Not something you can trust for anything that needs to run unattended. Build quality feels fine and it looks the part, but between the RAID claim not matching reality and the random disconnects, I can’t rely on this for actual storage. Returning it.
Good enclosure, poor power adapter
Great dual NVMe docking station, works super well, is super premium in materials, but it does require a separate power source, which is way more annoying than it should be. If this was USB C powered, and not powered like plugged into the machine, but just had a separate USB C power port on it, instead of the barrel jack it has, it would be way better. AS it is, it is annoying to use purely because you have to plug it in to an actual plug. Really odd design choice. Speeds are great, attached is a Western Digital SN850 NVMe performing a speed test, and it is about inline with what you expect. maybe a little slower, but only by a couple of percentage points. Having 2 NVMe drives in at the same time is seamless, and works super simply. Very happy with it. The enclosure itself is a sturdy machined aluminium device, the UGREEN staple design, and it works really well. It is sturdy and feels premium, the cover comes off and whilst a screw less closing and opening mechanism would have been nice, this works well, and you can leave the cover off if need be. The fan only spins up when the drives get hot, it is not on all the time, but it is loud when on. Turning the closure on also requires you to press a power button, which I like, but others may find annoying, if trying to automate with a. smart plug for example, you will not have much success. The cloning works great, and is really simple. The LED bar fills up as it is happening which is cool, and it works very well, clear and easy to do, and ensures you dont end up wiping the wrong drive, as long as you read the instructions. It is a very good enclosure, but it has its niggles, the power adapter is a big one, and the fan noise is another. But not he whole, I am very happy with it. 8TB of storage in one device, weighty but not overly so, and it keeps the drives cool, which is worth the extra noise.
