Exactly what it says it should do
This is fantastic as my ring door was at-77 running off wifi - now with this TP link its now -39 , also battery on Ring door bell running out faster due to trying to get a better signal - so easy to set up So worth the money
Does not work.
A month after receiving this, it is still not connecting to my router. I called for support, but I was spoken to very rudely by a condescending and angry technician. Many have tried to help and all have failed. Still will not connect.
Worth paying the price! Very good.
Couldn't be happier! So good and so easy to install. It really works well. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic and well worth it
I just bought more because they are fantastic. Speed wise they can put out the same speed as what the main modem does. However concrete walls were really effecting the modems output. In the bedroom 10mbps but the line is 1GB! I put this next to the modem and it was getting 270GB into the bedroom. Considering it is going through 4 concrete walls, that is excellent. I will be moving them around so the signal will be near enough full speed everywhere. Huge positive to this device is that you can set the power usage in regards to signal strength. If you only need this to boost to a single room. It can work as a wireless extender or an access point! So an access point mode will allow you to connect an ethernet into the device and the modem/router can connect and allow the wifi broadcast by the RE700X direct from the router, this means you get max speed. If you go the wifi extender route it will mean you could go to another area and connect to the wifi from the modem/router and that will then produce a stronger signal. In my setup with 3 of them, I will have the modem/router connected via ethernet to the RE700X in access point mode. I will then have another RE700X set up into wifi extender mode that will boost the signal through a window. I will have yet another RE700X in the window of the other house to receive that signal around 20ft away and that will push a wifi signal into that house. Well worth the money, cheaper than on the UK page too.
Easy to use, acceptable boost to coverage
I recently acquired the TP-Link RE700X Mesh WiFi 6 Booster to address limited Wi-Fi coverage in certain areas of my home. It's important to note, however, that the range extension isn't flawless. While sufficient for most indoor applications, I've encountered occasional connection weaknesses with my outdoor security cameras. This suggests the booster might not be ideal for expansive properties with significant outdoor coverage requirements or thick walls. In conclusion, the TP-Link RE700X offers a dependable solution for bolstering Wi-Fi coverage within a typical home environment. For users seeking to eliminate dead zones and enhance overall network stability, this is a worthy consideration. However, those with extensive outdoor areas requiring strong connectivity may want to explore alternative solutions.
