Excellent product, but read if using ROG B660-i motherboard
Good product, does everithing one can expect from the specs and description. The only issue is the LGA1700 backplate interferes with some surface mount components on the back of the ASUS ROG Strix B660-i gaming wifi motherboard i am using. Unpleasant, but nothing a few minutes with a file couldn't fix.
Great SFF CPU Cooler
Used this in my home theater PC that turned into an always on cloud services device. This cooler has been running extremely well keeping my PC cool, and it has remained silent the entire time. I am running an AMD 8600G which has a GPU integrated as well and occasionally run games on it which pull a little more power through the package. This low profile cooler has no problem at all keeping up. Installation was easy with all of the correct brackets, hardware, and adaptors included for my AM5 build on a mini itx motherboard. And it is very small and low profile so it fits really well in low profile PC cases.
Good product. But buy only if you have mini itx case.
The product quality is good. It worked as intended. But cooking my ryzen 5 9600x cpu was a difficult task inside sugo sg13 mini itx case. There was not much of an airflow inside the case. I managed to make it work only through undervolting and underclocking. This is probably the best low profile cpu cooler in this range. But there are better coolers if space is not a constraint. So, assess your needs carefully before you make the jump.
Great little cooler
Great cooler for the price. It installs easily and is well made. If you are running a lower TDP cpu it works well. I have used a few of the for small form factor ITX and not had any overheating issues. If you are running a high TDP CPU you would want to do some bios tweaking to assist in cooling or consider a larger tower cooler.
AMAZING over stock cooler but instalation is not easy
I bought the black low profile. This cooler is heaps better than the stock AMD stealth cooler. Smaller all around works way better. Installing it is not easy tho. If your motherboard is already mounted and your system is put together get ready to take everything apart it is not just drop in and screw down. If your building a new pc Installing this isn't that bad tbh but its def not the easiest. Also directions are trash. My cpu is an amd ryzen 5 5500 running a home server. I had the stock cooler installed with idle temps sitting at around 43 to 45 and running cinebench my cpu would thermal throttle. With this coller I dropped my idle temp to 34 to 36 and running cinebench never got over 73 c. So a massive massive improvement over stock. Honestly if your building out a new pc or home lab with an older cpu this cooler (i got the black one) Honestly is worth it for the 20$. That and Honestly its no louder than the stock amd cooler and runs at a higher rpm under load. My hd cooler fan is louder than this thing running at full speed and that's a 21$ noctua fan.
It's a CPU cooler and it works.
Seems to work as it should. I'm giving it 5 stars, but it didn't work with the provided backplane. So I used the longer screws provided with the kit, and the backplane that came with the motherboard, and MAN. SUPER, CRAZY NIGHTMARE getting that backplane pushed down onto the screws symetrically. It's not really the CPU cooler's fault, but man, I hope I never have to do that again.
